Not sure what you do with the X-ray? Keep it as a souvenir maybe?!

They don't really want the x-ray at POE. Not sure why London always says to carry it in your hand luggage. You can save it in case something comes up and you want to reference a 2008 view of your lungs I guess. The other brown envelope is normal letter size and you give that, your passport, and I-94 to the visitors line guy when you arrive. They will take you off to another room and when your turn comes up they open the envelope, stamp your visa, write your 90 day expiration on the I-94. You get back the bottom part of the I-94. Keep up with that. You have to make a photocopy of it for AOS, EAD, etc. applications.

Congratulations on the baby and your visa, Nick.

I have a question...

How soon should I schedule my medical? It looks like a good date would be the 26th or 27th of March as my assignments are due latest by the 25th, so at least I wouldn't have that pressure if I went on those dates. I just feel silly booking it so far in advance.

Magpie.

If you do it now, then you have a better chance of getting the date you want before they book up. If they aren't scheduling that far ahead, they will tell you. In the meantime, get a copy of any shot records you have. See a NHS doctor and try to get the Tdap and MMR for free which is what most people get. There's HPV shot for a female your age. You will have to pay for that. Here's the whole list but most are not age appropriate, so don't panic when you see the list.

Okay, I'll give them a call tomorrow or Monday...and I get NHS on campus itself, so I'll see if I can get those done. I'm sure I've got my polio and a whole host of other ones, but I'll double check about the Tdap and MMR (and HPV).

:: hugs :: Thank you so much, Nich! You're like my big sister =D.
