Yaaaayyyyyy!! That's brilliant! Mine hasn't arrived as yet Laura, but as you say - doesn't really matter now!! Thanks for the good luck too - and of course, good luck straight back to you!!

I am really looking forward to Tuesday - now that I know what's happening and I have everything organised! This is the first time in weeks that I've felt any sense of calm ... All I can say is ... bring it on - I'm ready for ya!!

I'm not sure when I'll get back online ... but, as I said in one of the other forums - hopefully it will be Tuesday, to let you all know that I've been approved pending medical results!

Catch up with you all soon .... thank you to everyone for their sensible support!

Moira xx

PS ... MARM .. what's happening? Have you had a reply to your email yet?

Very excited for you Moira!!! Nope we have not heard anything back yet from the embassy and neither has DOS changed our interview date. I am sure by Monday we will know for sure whether its Tuesday that he will go for the interview or something else the embassy suggests to us.

Hi Marm ...

Are you close enough to the Embassy that you can go at that short notice? I don't see why they couldn't "waive" the need for a passport on this occasion .... considering the circumstances and the fact that he has other ID! I'm sure it will all be sorted out soon, but hey, nothing like making you wait until the last minute, eh?

Ask your SO to say hello in the Embassy waiting room if he gets the chance - I'll be reading a James Michener book called "Caribbean" - it's about 6 inches thick so he won't be able to miss it!! I thought I'd best get a big book, just incase it took a while ...

I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you both MARM - all the best for Tuesday ((((HUGS))))

Thanks for the best wishes Moira!!! :star: Thankfully my fiance is located in London, not a problem to go to the embassy on such a short notice. I will let him know to say hello if he ends up going on Tuesday! I will post an update here on Monday regarding the situation. I am sure we will hear something on Monday.

Hi guys, I know I haven't been in touch for a while...too busy packing and sorting things out before my departure and the wedding. But all this has now been postponed.

As some of you may remember, I had my interview on 29th April and was told to expect my passport back within 5 working days. well, 5 days have come and gone by and still no passport. DOS is saying it hasn't been printed yet!!!! #######!!!!

I was supposed to fly out today and the wedding was organisedd for this coming Tuesday. It seems that everybody will be there exept for the bride !!!! He flew back to Florida by himself today... it was heartbreaking waving goodbye to him... Absolutely gutted....

DOS is saying that it's at Embassy's discretion when they print the visas and they can take as long as they want and we just need to sit tight and wait. Honestly, I thought that getting NOA2 was hard but this - I have never expected or would have believed. My fiance will be calling his congressman first thing tomorrow morning to find what the hell is going on. But the boat has sailed - I shall still miss my own wedding...

Can't find words to explain how devastated I feel right now... as we haven't waited long enough to get our NOA2....

I'm off to cry some more...

Oh no!! I'm so so sorry for you. I can only imagine how you must be feeling :(

Could you try to email the Embassy & tell them that you have a wedding booked? At least they may give you some indication of how long it will take or what the reason is for the delay.

I hope you get your passport soon. (F)

So sorry that you have to put up with this! :(

It is really nerve-wracking that even after a successful interview you cant be at ease until you actually have the visa in your hand...because of cases like this. I also agree with MonkeyJuice, call the embassy's extortion line and inform them of the issue...at least get the email code to find out if they are of no help on the phone. I hope that you get your visa ASAP, I know that the wedding is this Tuesday, maybe you could fly out Monday? If you get the visa in hand before the end of the day Monday you could still make it...I wish you all the best, let us know if you hear anything. I wish you get your visa tomorrow in the morning!

i'm so sorry to hear of tis. i too am upset, because i have to wait for the co sponsor forms because red head blonde cow face wouldnt take the employer letter as evidence of support alongside the tax return. we are now waiting on a friend to help us out, who is not answering his phone, and doesnt understand the urgency. i ve resigned from one of my jobs and booked my ticket. i cant explain how heartbreaking this is to be so close, and not have visa in hand. spent the whole weekend inside because i just dont want to be out there, i feel dead inside from worry, hope, and all the rest.

i want you to get married and be happy, even though you may not have the same faith as me i will pray for you that it goes well. lol cant hurt huh...

Ohh nooo, that's really awful :: Hugs ::. Knowing that you're going to fly out as soon as possible after the interview, you'd think that'd they'd be more efficient -- especially if they tell you it's going to be within five working days! I really hope that this gets sorted, it's so incredibly thoughtless of them to do this to you. For you too, Prima -- I hope that you get your visa soon, too. Just hang in there, guys...I know those words don't seem that meaningful at that point, I felt that way when I went into AP. Please drop me a PM if ever either of you want to chat; I'm waiting for my own visa to be printed, too.

I usually wake up and check VJ finding happy news of interviews gone well, but I was blown away by your bit of news today. Both Pat and I echo what the others have said on how sorry we all are for you.

Having your fiance contact his congress critter is a great idea though. Perhaps they can light a flame under somebodies tail to get it printed ASAP. With you working it from that end on the extortion line, maybe you can make something happen.

MARM & Mrs sdp - good luck with your interviews tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the best wishes...but right now the worry is we have not heard back from the embassy via email and DOS still reports the interview to be as scheduled tomorrow. The plan is even if we do not hear from the embassy today, will call DOS for advice...or otherwise he will still show up tomorrow and see what happens.
