I've got to dash to work but I just wanted to let anybody who might be interested know that my visa's been approved @ 9:40 this morning!!! :dancing::dancing: . It was by far the easiest part of this whole visa journey. Got all my originals back including the letter of employment.

I'll write the review a bit later.

Now the countdown to the wedding can start - 13 days to go...

Congrats from us!!!

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

My appointment was for 8am but I turned up at the Embassy at 6:50 and there was already a queue!!! But thanks to an early start I got the first immigration visa number, 5000, and was seen by the first immigration officer (British) by 8:15. She was as slow as a snail and I was in serious danger of falling asleep waiting for her to turn pages, tick the boxes, etc. She probably took about 20 minutes but at the time it seemed a lot longer. Once I was done with her and paid my dues :), I set back in the waiting area and was called back about an hour later. An American immigration officer was very quick and to a point, a lot more polite and that part took 5 - 10 minutes. Maybe I was lucky but it really was a breeze.

If I was you and if you could make it, I'd turn up around 8 the latest. By the time they finally opened security gates at 7:30, the queue was down to the end of the square. But they do seem to deal with it quickly. By the time I left, there was no queue outside at all :).
