PCC Ahmedabad India

Hello,

Can any one guide me about the steps on obtaining a PCC. I live in Ahmedabad, India. is the PCC to be obtained from he local passport office or from the police dept?

This thing is my file for I-130 is under process and i m expecting the approval in near future and i dont wish to spend more time waiting for things. so just wanted to know if i can obtain the PCC before my I-130 getting approved???

and what is the process for PCC.

Hi, Vishal, ki haal chaal? I just spoke with my fiance, and he has lived in Delhi more than 5 years (I do not know if the length of stay is a requirement) but he got his from the local police department and the passport office. I hope that helps! Good luck

vishal from what i know is that you will need an interview letter before you can get a PCC from passport office.

Hi vishal...

PCC is required from DSP office and passport office. I got PCC from DSP office. first i have submitted written application with passport copy,ration card,photo etc. they ask for any proof that you are in process of USA visa. (i have attached approval letter, you can show them I130 petition receipt, means AOS1). then, DSP office ppl will send you at your area local police station and u have to take NOC letter from tht local police station which will indicate that you have no any criminal record. then again that NOC you have to give at DSP office, and finally District sup. of police will sign your PCC....thts all. its depend on officer available on police station. i got my pcc in 4 hrs.

well, passport office may take time or they may give you in one day depends on your passport

I got my pcc from delhi passport office within few hours, at around 12:30 my turn came and i got my passport and pcc back at 4:40 after waiting a long time in Q. its not hard just pay a 300 Rs. cash and your passport along with the form2. I have done it only a week before. still not done the pcc from the DSP office.
