What is RFE??? I have received NOA1 and next step is to wait for RFE.. What is RFE?? and how long will it take for me to receive the RFE?

K1 Timeline

2008/12/15 I-129F Sent.

2008/12/16 I-129F Received by CSC: AND NOA1 issued same day.

2008/12/18 I-129F Check cashed

2008/12/20 NOA1 Received

2009/04/28 Touched (Detail info did not change. Just the date has changed. NOA2???)

2009/04/29 NOA2 Approved (Received email notification)

You'll get a RFE only if they need further evidence....they'll let you know

Will they let me know only if they need something? or will they let me know if they need nothing as well?

will I get something in the mail either way???

You'll get a RFE only if they need further evidence....they'll let you know

You have received the NOA1. That is all you will receive until you get the NOA2 - approval - unless they need more evidence, in which case you will receive an RFE - Request For Evidence. Good luck.

You'll get a RFE only if they need further evidence....they'll let you know

you will get an RFE (request for evidence) after the NOA1. and as it says request for evidence, basically means they want more of anything and everything - more documents, more photos, stamped passport photocopies, receipts, more affidavits, or what not ... etc etc etc ... all for the purpose of supplementing and to further support your application.

but IF they are satisfied with your application, you will not get an RFE but you get an NOA2.

so this is just a waiting game with the ball in their court the entire journey and us waiting for what they throw back at us.

trick is to just comply and submit all papers required and to convince them of your bona fide relationship. then NOA1 to NOA2.

if not, RFE then comply... then NOA2.
