My fiancee is definitely loving the PI mangoes..

He even thought of bringing an extra bag just to be filled with my mangoes when he gets to be here on January.. Haha!

My question, would that be allowed?

If not, what can you advise us to do to sneak few pieces of mango..?hehe

I just want his relatives to try our mangoes..SOO proud to be PINOY!

BEST MANGOES ARE ONLY FOUND IN THE PHILIPPINES..(i guess..hehe)

I have travelled extensively and have to say that the best mangoes are the mexican champagne mangoes. Bring some halo halo fixins instead!

Not sure if they are the same but they have mangos at the grocery stores here. Cant find any duran tho.

If you live near a major city you can find durian if you venture into the asian groceries. Mine even has durian from various countries. My husband, the (israeli) durian expert has lots of experience in this area.

I'm currently here in PI and will be coming back to the US on Jan. 17. I just like to know if it is safe to bring condiments and seasonings?I'm also thinking of bringing some noodles (like pancit, sotanghon, etc.), some home made Bicol pili products and pastries. Are those stuff allowed to be included in my checked in luggage?Thanks a lot in advance.

Stop in Hawaii! We are loaded with mangos here. LOTS of different varieties naman. LOTS of different varieties of bagoong also if you like green mango and bagoong! Masarap BIGTIME!

If you live in LA, there's a lot Filipino and Asian stores that has noodles and seasonings. They even have patis and bagoong. The things that I have regretted not buying more were jeans. The stores here have my size but the fit is different than what I am used to wearing in the Philippines. Pili products and pastries are okay as long as you declare them in the forms that you will have to fill out in the plane. I brought lots of dried mangoes.

when i was on the CBP inspection at my POE, they will ask you if you brought fruits, seeds, any agricultural products. you must declare them or be penalized once discovered.

From dallas, texas here... some asian stores sell mangoes from Philippines (if it's mango season). At this time they dont sell it.

Same applies here in CA... can get RP mangos when in season.

Life..... Nobody gets out alive.

Thanks for the info :thumbs: .I don't live in LA and the nearest Filipino store is about 3-4hrs away from our home that's why I want to take advantage of my luggage allowance since I don't have much personal stuff to bring this time.
