First I want to say thanks to Haole for this great link!

One quick question regarding this part of the guide:

11. Paying IV Fee Bill Online & Sending IV Package (DS-230)

b. Send your IV Package (USPS Express mail gives tracking and essentially insures delivery)

Below are the package contents:

* BARCODED Cover Sheet (to be printed from web when your status is PAID online for IV bill)

* You OWN cover sheet listing what documents are in the package, so they're easy for the reviewer to locate

* Completed DS-230 part I & II and ONLY part I signed by beneficiary.

* Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page.

* Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate.

* Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate.

* Original police certificates of the beneficiary.

* Original/certified copy of military record, if applicable.

* Original/certified copy of divorce decree, death certificate, etc. of previous marriage, if applicable.

Make 2 extra copies of this package. Send 1 copy to the beneficiary

Once everything has been sent in, it's time to wait.

Send the package to:

National Visa Center

ATTN: CMR

32 Rochester Ave.

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909

Am I to gather from this that I should send ORIGINALS to the NVC??? I was under the impression that you only submitted originals when asked. If I were to submit copies instead of originals of such documents as birth certificate, etc., then my wife could merely send me copies and keep the originals on hand should she be asked for them in the interview. Any ideas about this?

Thanks,

Andy

Yo Andy!

Yep all originals except her Passport. Have her get at least 3 NSO certified copies of any documents that relate to your case. Also have her get a NSO CENMAR [marriage index] for her interview.

You must send the originals to the NVC. After the NVC finishes processing the case, they will forward all of the documents to the consulate in your country. Your wife will receive the originals at the interview.

Yo Andy. USEM has been asking for CENMARS [cert of marriage, marriage index] and CENOMAR at the interviews a LOT more recently. Used to be mainly for fiance visas. Married beneficiaries have been put on AR for lack of such lately. Delays getting visas for awhile.

Easy to get and good to have in the quiver at the interview. Get 2 and send one to NVC also with the other #######.

More ammo the better.

My wife got hers. Showed our marriage plus her previous marriage.

Sweet, thanks Haole. I'm having some issues with the g-325a. I went to military legal services and the lawyer there told me I would need a g-325 for myself and a g-325a for my wife. However, the I-130 instructions say that we both do a g-325a. I'm thinking I'll go with the instructions, but they also say that I don't have to repeat the information from the I-130 on the g-325a... rrriiiggghhhtttt. I'm thinking I will anyway, just to be on the safe side. I think I'm going to post a whole new topic on the g-325a after I have a look at any guides on the subject.

I can't thank you enough Haole for all your help!

Andy!

Yo Andy!

Your wife and you both need the G325As. Four pages each and you guys each sign all 4 pages. I repeated the info from the I-130.

DON'T leave any blanks on any of the immigration forms. Try and put NONE and N/A where they fit best.

Question about the g-325a. For the one that I'm filing, there's a check box area near the bottom of each section that reads:

"This form is submitted in connection with an application for:

Naturalization

Status as a permanent resident

Other (fill in blank) "

What should both I and my wife put in this section? The blank is very short, so there isn't much room to type anything out.

Thanks in advance!

Andy
