How long for the embassy to get it?

The NVC sent me a letter dated for May 22 (and I told me that same day over the phone) saying that our petition was sent to the embassy that day. How long does it normally take for them to get it? We called today but they said they don't have it yet. It has been 2 and a half weeks

same thing happened to us-I found out they had it even though they said they didn't.

I kept calling them & then a week later my man rec'd the packet from the embassy-don't worry I am sure it will be there soon

dont they tell you 2 to 4 weeks ?

That can depend on a number of things, including

- how long does it take DHL to get the package from the NVC to the country in question,

- how long does it take to get the package through the country's Customs process,

- how long does it take to get from Customs to the embassy or consulate, and

- how long does it take the embassy or consulate to get the package through the internal mail system to the IV unit.

Did you try entering those dates through DHL and tracking it?
