Hi everyone,

I had my interview on June 2, 2006 in Phoenix ,everything went fine after all I had been through, the officer didn't stamp my passport that day but he marked approuved on my file and said it's not necessary to stamp the passport because I'll have the conditional card in 10 days , since I came here on a visitor visa last year ,he told me you're not a visitor anymore , he marked '' Cancel without Prejudice'' on my B2 visa with a big smile, I couldn't believe my eyes ,I was so nervous . that same day since the people of Senator John Mc Cain's office knew I had the interview, they called my husband few hours later just to make sure everything went fine ( how sweet of them!!!!!!).

2 days letter ,I received around 10 emails from USCIS saying the I-130 and the I- 485 have been approuved and that a welcome letter have been mailed.

I'd like to say this , when you go to your interview ,please keep your files in order , make copies so that the officer does not have to interrupt to make copies , tell the truth , I met my husband online , between you and me, i was not really in love with him ,i just came for a visit for 2 weeks ,guess what he was better in reality than on the webcam  ,he's 15 years older than me ,he's white and I'm black, No one has ever loved me the way he does ,and my feelings for him went for nothing at the beginning to the big love of my life and it keeps growing everyday.

So, to come back to the interview :D , keep originals and copies of your document , I had a file organizer, so anytime the officer asked for a document I was able to give it to him easily.

I'll let you know when I have the card.

Once again ,thank you everyone for your assistance.

Marie, thanks for sharing your experience and your "truth" ...between you and me [lol] ...my feelings for him went from nothing...to the big love... Well, who could deny you after hearing this?! Love it. And good idea to use a file organizer to tote along to the interview - I imagine that the process is stressful enough without having to thumb through a pile of free-flowing paperwork, even if it IS clipped together in some sort of order. Congrats, Marie and Happy Big Love!

Congratulations on getting your green card approved. How exciting!!! I'm glad it went well. We are in Phoenix as well and are waiting for our AOS interview. Can you please tell us what your application date was for the adjustment of status? I'd just like to get an idea of where they are really at in interviewing. I was at the office today and they told me that our case is still at the MSC and they are still doing interviews for applications in May 2005. Our date is in December 2005 so we still have some time to wait if they are being real with me on the current dates. Anyway, thanks. And congrats again!!!

Hi Molly and Stephen

I applied for adjustment of status back in October 2005 , the USCIS made my first interview appointment for march 28 ,2006 but I never received that mail so they denied my case on April 11 for failure to show up at the interview , we filed a motion to reopen on April 28 , but the officer at the infopass appointment told us that , the Phoenix office will proceed the case in a year or 2. I was crying that day , but remember God, He is great , guess what 2 weeks later , I received an interview notice for june the 2nd. Sometimes , there's a difference between the processing date and what happens in reality. Also if you're worried about your case contact the Senator Mc Cain office to make an inquiry ,it did help me too.

Good luck.
