Ok everyone, Now I am totally confused

In reply to my email , the Embassy in Kiev sent me an email telling me NO record of KEV in system, and that if i wanted to check again, I would have to bvuy a PIN, so i bought pin and call every other day

Just yesterday they told me to wait until Monday and try again, and that I could call until the 31st as they do NOT close until January1-12th

TODAY, they told me the Embassy was officially closed, and that nothing would be happening, that it would do NO good to check any more until after the 12th, and furthermore, i had to wait for packet 3 & then call, which I already have waiting to go, and if they mailed it, it would never get to the address on the application as its been changed, so I was just going with the flow and waiting

Does this sound right to anyone, that are closed NOW until January 12th in Kiev?

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

It's pretty common for the FSU countries to shut down at Christmas time for 3 weeks. Not much happens over there during this time, sorry!

Good luck with the interview, though.

John - it is true that the embassy will be closed the week of Orthodox Christmas, to reopen the 12th. I had to reschedule my trip due to the delay. You cannot schedule the interview until they get you into the system anyway. Hang in there

you can make the adjustments for 2009 and I am sure they schedule no interviews from 12/25 to 1/12
