Good evening!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I love A Christmas Story. I played the mom in the play version of it a few years ago. That was a lot of fun.

Everyone has such adorable babies! Has anyone gotten pregnant and had their baby before their husband was approved for a visa? How did you get through it alone and would you do it again? My hubby and I are talking about having a baby. I'm thinking not to wait because I'm afraid I might go through menopause before he gets here! I'm not getting any younger.

My hubby and I are talking about having a baby. I'm thinking not to wait because I'm afraid I might go through menopause before he gets here! I'm not getting any younger.

My hubby arrived the day after the twins were born but we couldn't get a flight quick enough to get him here the day of their birth. After gettting over the shock of having twins  it was not that hard going through the pregnancy alone as I have a strong supportive relationship with my father and had my good friend (and their god mother) here w/ me. She made the doctor visits and all that just fine. I would do it all over again. I had an amazing pregancy thank god! No morning sickness and I worked right thru till my 39th week...I had a Csection scheduled as they never wanted to leave :P Don't ever believe doctors when they tell you that twins come early!!

On another note: I wouldn't recommend it for all. I'm financially stable with a great job that was so flexible with me as I made 2 visits to Egypt during my pregnancy of 1 month @ a time so that I could spend time with my hubby. I also have amazing health benefits and like I said a great friends/family support structure. Plus (THANK GOD, no pregnancy related illnesses) I think if it was not that way I would not have done it. There are so many factors to consider when planning...illnesses during pregnancy (no one there to take care of you), or worse bed ridden and no one to work/income, health benefits for all those prenatal checks, no late night leg rubs (unless you have a Daddy like mine that works 2nd shift and was wide awake and willing to chill with me :D ) so many other personal things as well to go thru with a spouse. These were our first children (and last...:P) so I have no way of comparing with having him here....I hope that helps. (F)

BTW---I had to announce that a good friend of mine and coworker just announced that his wife is pregnant with twins! OMG it's catchy...those were his words. I keep recommending to people who are trying to have babies these prenatal vitamins from Trader Joes and this is the 3rd couple having twins! Is it the vitamins or something in the water in our home?:devil: I have been taking them for years because I read in Glamour magazine that some celebrities take them to keep their hair and nails healthy and growing! :P

Thanks for the comment. I too have a stable job with great medical benefits, so that's not a worry. Unfortunately, I don't have any family nearby to help me. That's a definite minus. So what are these vitamins you took? :-P

OH and what's the latest in your pregnancy can fly?

Unless you have a note from your doctor that is..........

Most physicians won't let you fly after 36 weeks that is if you've had a normal pregnancy with NO complications whatsoever. If there's complications FORGET IT!

Words going through my head right now, "Do NOT take Trader Joe's prenatal vitamins, do NOT take Trader Joe's prenatal vitamins, do NOT take Trader Joe's prenatal vitamins....."

Hubby and I will try to have a baby insha'Allah, but I definitely don't want twins.:blink:

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.
