Hello,

Ok, so I am now TOTALLY lost regarding to what USCIS does with my case.

So, on November 20th, I gave my biometrics AND I had the GC interview.

The interview didn't really go well because they lost the brown envelop containing my confidential personal info.

As they were supposed to get back to me and they didn't, I called them a lot.

They finally said that I had to wait some more time to know what is going on with my GC.

They however said that my EAD got approved on November 17th.

However, since then, my biometrics apparently haven't been processed yet, and so they cannot issue the EAD card, even though it has been approved. I called them to complain and they put a referral number to make things move.

That was on december 18th. And today, I just received a brand new letter for a new biometrics appointment!!

I already passed the biometrics!! Why on earth would I need to go pass another one????

Has anyone experienced the same problem?

I am soooo tired of them! First the lose my perso info and medical examination and cannot approve my GC. And the don't even bother telling me what to do to have my GC approved. Now, they mess something up with my biometrics and I cannot get my EAD even though it got approved over a month ago?!!

Oh my God, please if anyone knows what is going on and what I should do, let me know!!! :crying:

Thank you soooooooo much!

Merry Xmas!!

Faustine

I don't know what is going on but as far as telling you what I think you should do....

I think you should go to the second Bios appointment.

A second bios appointment really isn't all that uncommon. Sometimes the prints don't 'take'. The person collecting your prints is supposed to review them on-screen as they are collected. My husband never had to go back for a second collection but his Bios agent was very careful with the gathering and had him repeat several digits several times.

I've read often of people being called back for a second set of prints.

If they lost your brown envelope, it is very likely you will have to repeat the whole medical exam and vaccinations (if you can't prove them). I remember reading a couple of months ago by a couple of people who also had their envelopes "misplaced" by CIS.

Here are a couple of threads about this:
