Case Completion, Interview Date after DS-230 entered

My DS-230 was entered in NVC system on Dec. 17, 2008.

Calling out to people whose cases were completed in recently (Dec.)

1) How long will it take to complete the case ?

2) What's the usual cutoff date to get February interview Date (Mumbai Embassy)

(Is interview date assigned right after case complete ?)

Voice system currently says "We received checklist letter response on Dec. 17, we're currently reviewing the information ... "

I believe you should know in the second week in January. As long as you don't have an rfe, i think you should be fine for February unless your embassy is one that it takes a couple of months to get an interview.

Looks like the Fab. 2009 for Mumbai consulate is a possibility if your case is completed this week.

figure about a good week to complete BUT with the holidays not sure then they tell you they schedule only in the first two weeks of the month for the interviews the next month. So once its is called complete, give it about a week and call everyother day or so
