Here is a list of the updates so far (so far this is one of the highest voted areas for improvement):

K1/K3 AOS Guide Revamped (Second half mainly)

US Family Immigration Overview Page added (to give people proper perspective): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ration-overview

... before people only saw the individual elements of family immigration. This is an attempt to present a larger perspective and is based on USCIS present policies (reference uscis.gov). It is tailored to the VJ audience.

Guides Main Page being re-organized/cleaned up (in progress)

To do:

Sibling/children guides have many broken links and should be re-done fresh to properly fix.

Possibly create mechanism to "recommend" certain reading material or guides based on a members profile (what immigration type & stage they are at).

Factually it should be right; Typo wise.... another story (been a long day) :P.

My suggestions...

Make this bold in both places it appears. Now only the second time.

As a note, the immediate relatives of U.S. citizens, which includes parents, spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21, do not have to wait for an immigrant visa number to become available once the I-130 petition is approved by USCIS. An immigrant visa number will become immediately available and there will be no wait.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

In any case, the sponsor must be able to provide proof of the relationship.

When I was a noob, I was berated by one of the wise men of the forum (in those days) over the use of the word 'proof' in this context. I was advised all I could offer was 'evidence'.

Not intending to be critical of the individual(s) that wrote this, but I think the choice of the term "sponsor" is somewhat misleading throughout the entire document. It would be better if the document were to refer to the US citizen relative as the "petitioner" and make reference to the fact that a "petitioner" must also be the primary "sponsor". The two terms are not interchangeable as this text implies.

Also, reference to a fiancé exception in point 1. is also misleading. A fiance, by virtue of his lack of marriage, is not a relative at this point.

I agree a fiance is not a relative; they are a relative "to be" so including them (and early) in the document is probably a benefit to the membership here. I would be happy to change the word sponsor to petitioner. USCIS uses the term sponsor however I agree petitioner is potentially better.

Will do. :)

Evidence makes more sense. Will change it.

This was helpful because my wife was giving some consideration of bringing her parents. I reminded her that they would be living with us and she immediately gave up on the idea :P
