I am sitting here wondering what to do with myself. I am curious what others have done to help pass the time before you are finally able to be with the one who you love so much. At times it almost feels unbearable. Days I work the day goes by ok. Days off are the hardest. I am running out of things to keep myself busy and mind of the distance. Right now I go out for long walks, do alot of reading. Play with the dog among other things to help keep myself occupied. It just feels like everyday keeps getting longer and longer :( . I use to think each day that goes by would make things easier, because you are just one day closer to being together again, but for me is has been the opposite. Days just get longer and harder.

I think this is more of a whine on my part so I apologize to all who have to read this lol .... but what worked for others in the past .... what do you do to pass the time?

While you are in the Philippines, I suggest that you spend a lot and a lot and a lot and a lot of TIME with your families and friends. Eat all the foods that you might miss, do the things that you cannot do here like riding a jeepney, tricycle and pedicab. Organized the stuff that you want to bring here...and enjoy the weather...

for sure once you get here you will miss everything in PI esp. FAMILY!

Good Luck and God BLess!

I can say same thing. What I did was I find a way on how me and my husband can have the "jamming" even his at the States already. We play an online game, (world of warcraft) to keep us occupied. And we love being in a combat together directing each other which one to shot, tactics, lol. And also I visit friends, and go out with aunts. I invite them here in our house and we just watch movie. And most of all, I make it to a point that I am happy everyday and always laughing with my family. Taking pics of them so I can bring it with me. :) Edited by my_panacea = Greg

while i waited for my visa i continued working - I resigned from work month before but only effective a few days before my departure. I spent lots of time with family and friends, took a lot of pictures, spent time with my baby sansan - my dog that I really miss now, I did stuff that I know I wouldnt be able to do in USA - like eating green mango, yellow mango, and all other stuff. I assure you - you will have a maalaala mo kaya moments when you get here and you will wish that pinas is just a jeepney ride away. Enjoy your time there especially the pasko and new year. :) dahil walang ganyan sa states.

my fiance and I always talk online using apple ichat.. we get to see each other everyday after work.. (night in PI/Day in NC).. it's like going home to him after a busy day.. it helps a lot.. but of course minus the physical presence.. :( it's really hard being apart :crying: ..and here we are still holding on and surviving "LDR".. i will never forget what he told me before that--"each day is one less day of "us" being apart and one less day to being together again.."--these words coming from my fiance brings assurance to me that everything we'll be ok and that we'll "get there" soon.. it's just so sweet of him.. :D

just hang on.. :D
