Supposed to snow again tonight in Seattle. We still have two or three layers of snow/ice combo on most of the streets  Guess we're havin' a white Christmas!

Spirit, it's not usually like this here. In fact, I love Seattle and will never leave here unless it's to move to Germany. But the fact that it's never like this here is all the more reason why the city is so unprepared. Crazy stuff I tell you!

Oh I'm with you.

I know.

I lived in Vancouver for 13 years.

Be safe and do not venture out too far, except on foot.

:star:

I've had the heat tuned up, snow tires taken out of storage, chains out and ready and the ice scraper as well.

OOOooooopppppsssssss I forgot......... It's 76 today in South Florida, guess I'll put it all away.....

Brat!

LOL But ya know I am in central Florida and last night I was cold in bed, with the house being 69 degrees. I had to turn the heat to 71 to get the chill out and then turn it back down to 69. Sometimes I can tolerate it colder in the house, but some nights if it gets below 70 inside I get a chill that just won't leave. I think our blanket is too thin. Floridians, eh. (well it was in the 40's the last two nights I believe)

Double brat factor!

Vancouver is the coolest city on the planet! Ever been to Wreck Beach Spirit? :D

Spend a couple of weeks in Orlando in January 2000, thought I was going to freeze my can off, that is just an expression by the way. Hotel was drafty, and the heater was working overtime trying to keep it warm, temps dropped to freezing at night, but so humid, it would cut right through you. Did bring my heavy norther jacket and wore it down there. Finally warmed up landing at St. Paul, while the temperature was zero, felt a lot warmer, no wind, and the sun was out nice and bright.

But when we get that arctic blast with strong winds, that is also very cold, but wonder where that is coming from when Gore's polar bear is looking for frozen ice to walk on. It's hot in the arctic according to Gore.

There was a very strong jet stream on my flight to Amsterdam yesterday. 120mph average tail winds. When the winds changed, that made for a lot of vomit inducing fun. Drop then up like on an insane elevator. The nose down shake was really fun. My daughter thought it was hilarious?!

Thank you for making me seem less crazy for being cold in Florida. :D

Ha, ain't dreaming of a White Christmas here, still snowing, over 20" already, getting ready to fire up the snow thrower again. Wife is on call this very long weekend, should be interesting. Will drive her, and wait, the roads are hazardous to say the least.

Snowmobiler's and skiers love it.

Snowing again, but I think it's mixed with rain this time. I can't really tell but it's coming down hard. It's warmer now, but about 5 degrees than it was yesterday so I'm hoping we won't have the messy ice factor we had previously. I hope it eases up enough for us to drive to church tonight, otherwise, that will be one long, cold journey :)

So I shoveled out a spot to be able to drive the car tomorrow...did this in the pouring rain early this morning.

Enough snow mountains that limit the street parking around here.

Heavy.

Wet.

Bleh!

And now, I went out (on foot) to get some groceries, and it is dropping so fast that the water has frozen creating a truly fun commute/walk for every one out there!

Skating rinks on the roads.

Freezing...brrrrr.

I don't like this one bit.

Mantra:

This is my last freezing cold Winter.

oooooohhhhmmmmmmm

ahhhhh

:D

I was in Chicago one year for New Years and everyone on my uncle's street put lawn furniture in the spaces they shoveled out so no one would park in the space while they were gone. My uncle said one time someone just went around collecting all the lawn furniture in the back of their truck
