P750

The AUC shall be paid in Philippine Peso or its equivalent in US Dollars based on the prevailing exchange rate.

AUC =s Airport Users Charge.

PTA travel tax is P1620

The 750 peso is for a non phiilppine national leaving the PI.

If you are a Philippine national you have to pay the 1620 BEFORE you check in at the airport counter. AFTER you get your ticket then you pay the additional 750. It dosent matter where the ticket is bought as of November 2008 when I was there and paid for my wife and daughter you have to pay both..

When you book your ticket in PI.. the ticket cost already include the travel tax.. unlike when you book it outside the PI.

Im just going from what we paid last month. The travel tax is not based on where the ticket is issued but on the philippine passport. We took Cebu Pacific from Manila to Hong Kong, bought tickets there online. Cebu advised us when making reservationus that:

"Philippine Travel Tax amounting to P1,620 per Filipino guest needs to be paid at the respective airports prior to departure. Terminal fee shall also be paid at the airport:

Hi. The terminal fee is 750 pesos and you will pay that after you check in at NAIA. That can be paid either in US dollars or in Philippine pesos. When you buy our ticket you have to pay for the travel tax whether the ticket was bought inside or outside of the Philippines. Make sure you double check that the travel tax was paid. If it wasn't paid you will have to pay it at the airport. The travel tax is 1,600+ pesos and can also be paid in US dollars. All Philippine citizens and dual citizens need to pay the travel tax.

I am a dual citizen and when I flew out of manila last month, i still had to pay the travel tax.

God bless and good luck always!

This May I paid 750 so i think it increases 200 pesos every year. yes you can pay dlrs or pesos, tehy take either one, other currency they have to exchanges it to either pesos or dlrs in the philippines...it is not travel tax. Those goes in your ticket already, you pay thios amount to keep the airport maintained ...etc..etc...

Yep.. when you make your reservations thru a travel agent here in PI.. the travel tax will include into the ticket cost..

Actually when I was working with United Airlines, We are not allowed to book a ticket departing from the PI, cause there will be taxes the needs to be paid.

Now, they call it as the travel tax.

Until now some Online travel agency still don't let you book online (e.g. orbitz etc.)but with expedia you can.. but the travel tax will be excluded to the price of the ticket.

Some airlines still don't let you book departing PI, you have to go thru a travel agent or an airline rep.(e.g. Korean airlines etc)

The Department of Minor Details: If you pay the 750 Peso terminal tax in US dollars...any change that you get back is in Pesos. I kept my Pesos as a souvenir.
