I woke up to this song on the radio this morning and immediately thought of those of you who have been through so much on this journey.

Our Hope Endures

You would think only so much can go wrong

Calamity only strikes once

And you assume this one has suffered her share

Life will be kinder from here

Oh, but sometimes the sun

stays hidden for years

Sometimes the sky rains night after night

When will it clear?

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions

It's more than our optimism

Let the earth quake

Our Hope is unchanged

How do we comprehend peace within pain?

Or joy at a good man's wake?

Walk a mile with the woman

whose body is racked

With illness, oh how can she laugh?

Oh, 'cause sometimes the sun

stays hidden for years

Sometimes the sky rains night after night

When will it clear?

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions

It's more than our optimism

Let the earth quake

Our Hope is unchanged

Emmanuel, God is with us

El Shaddai, all sufficient

We never walk alone

And this is our hope

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions

It's more than our optimism

Let the earth quake

Our Hope is unchanged

It's on YouTube but I can't remember how to make it work here so here's a link.

You can send me some recipes if you want. :) Does your family cook the Cassava roots over here ?

yes, they do. I cook it myself sometimes, when i dont feel like eating rice. I usually get it at the Hispanic grocery stores. They call it yuca it's the same as cassava. When i cook mine i'll usually boil it like potatoes and add butter with salt and pepper. You can also fix a fried stew and eat it with that. My mom likes to cook it into a soup like potatoe soup. If you buy some of the cassava root i could help you prepare it over the phone. :) I dont have any recipes written down but i'll try to put some together and email it to you.

That is a beautiful song and powerful words WG, thank you for sharing.

 WhidbeyGirl. Yes, I second that, very beautiful song.

My mom used to say that sometimes crying is therapeutic I guess today I am having a lot of therapy. We need a pick yourself up /clean yourself off emoticon for those times the journey causes us to have a little fall.
