AOS file Oct 2007 Still Waiting..EAD Expiring

Hello,

My wife's AOS wasfiledin Oct 2007, transferred to CSC dec 2007. We recieved EAD and advanced parole Dec 2007, no other communication from USCIS until I called in Sept 2008, case was assigned to special investigator. 30 days later still no reply, called again got pushed up two levels and they assurec me a response would be coming. I finally got a notice in Nov 2008 saying background checks were still being conducted and to continue to wait. Meanwhile her EAD is expiring, I refiled it in Oct but it wont arrive in time before she is terminated from employment. Any suggestions, all I get is the run around from the regular uscis number.

Has your wife received her greencard yet? We also filed in 2007 and still haven't heard anything 2/09.
