Best Phone Cards to Call Philippines?

Hello,

I've been shopping around for the best phone cards to use to call Philippine mobiles. The ones I've used so far were falsely advertised or else they were not revealing the real charges. For instance using a toll free number to connect increases the rate, maintenance fee, plus so and so fee so that a supposed 50 minute call to the Philippines is actually just 20 minutes at most!

Can anyone recommend any tried and tested Phone card to the Philippines?

Thanks!!

I used Verizon Prepaid phone card which is rechargeable. It's good for 90 minutes costing $30. I believe there is cheaper than this.

We use Startec, you can buy prepaid or a monthly bill for 17.9 cents a minute to a cell phone in the Philippines.

We have been using them for about six months now.

I use prepaid cards everyday to call my wife in Philippines. Some I buy locally such as $2 TV Phonecard and get 16 minutes or $2 Platinum World and get 14 minutes but the best at this time I buy online for $5 and get 49 minutes. The link is here and it shows a $20 card but just change the amount to $5 and follow instructions. I have used this company many times with no problems. Hope this helps

I used to use phone cards, but like you stated, too much hidden charges... I am currently using www.gorillamobile.com .. they charge $5.95 for a yearly fee(not monthly), and it's .9cents to Landline or .15cents to mobile. When you first sign up, you get I think a free $5 call to try their services. It's good cus you can print your monthly statement and it shows the your # and the # you call, so it's good for sending as proof of ongoing relationship..

I've got good receiption from them, and only time it was bad was when Phils was having their storms, cus even after I hung up and dialed direct(AT&T), it was the same quality..

I've been using gorilla mobile for over 5/months now and will stick with them over getting phone cards..

we got magicjack pero may bayad from US to pinas, if im not mistaken 18 cents/min.. :(

saka pag nasa labas ako nde ko magamit magic jack..

ive tried 20 brands of phone cards to call pinas ..

but now i only use these brands..

extreme , A+ ---> $5 = 30-35 minutes = cellphone/manila landline

D philippines ---> $5 = 40-45minutes = cellphone/manila landline

los mayas ---> 5$ = 35-40 minutes = cellphone/manila landline

extreme, A+, D philippines - i get these for $4 each..

los mayas - i get this for $4.5

sa totoo lang mas ok yung mga phone cards na nde philippines yung nakalagay sa card..

lahat halos ng cards madaya pero yung mga may pinas na tatak sa card pinakamadaya! <_<

i like these brands kse nde kinakain yung buong laman ng card pag gusto mo na paputol-putol ang tawag mo..

saka kahet nagriring pa lang nde nacoconsume yung minutes, may iba kse ring pa lang nababawasan na yung card..

may iba din khet nde mo nacontact like cant be reached or nde sinagot ng tinatawagan mo bumabawas..

may iba pa nga isang try mo di mo nacontact pag dial mo ulit wala na laman yung card..

maganda rin ang dating ng line sa mga cards na to, based on my experience ha..

good luck! ;)

If you are still in the immigration process the MAIN thing is to use a service that show's the number called to help prove a bonafide relation.

Phone cards that don't are basically worthless for such.

You want to buy a box full? :bonk:
