Ah, it's like the poor peeps here at Seatac Airport. I still want to go down and hand out cookies. BUT I CAN'T. BECAUSE IT'S FREAKING SNOWING AGAIN. Man, I don't mind walking but this is getting really tiresome. I dont walk so much as slip and slide everywhere. And carrying packages 45 blocks sucks.

Plus my daughter is at her dad's house and I hope she makes it home tonight because we celebrate Christmas on the 24th (some weird German tradition....)

Speaking of Germans, is anyone interested in seeing Valkyrie? I don't think Patrick wants to see it b/c of Tom Cruise's Scientology thing.

Mexicans also celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve..

ah.. sorta.. we start the 24th but end it the 25 at 6am

but yea the nice dinner is the 24th i agree, with mucha cider

I thought it was ponche?!!? At least I know that's what they tried to get me to drink when we were down there at Christmas. I wasn't crazy about it at all.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

tom cruise is an awesome actor

i'll gladly watch his movies, who cares about his personal beliefs

all i knw about his personal beliefs is that he ain't the pope. yet.

I can understand the personal belief angle. If you grew up in the shadow of Nazism I suppose watching someone who is in a "cult" portray a person who worked in the German Resistance Movement and who tried to overthrow another "cult" might be problematic. At least, that is the reasoning my friend gave me for not being thrilled about Tom Cruise's role.

I'm just sort of Holocausted out. I'm currently teaching this unit and I guess for Christmas-time I don't want more heaviness. Hell, after we return to school I have to discuss Maus I and II and then have my kids make butterflies based on poems and hang them around the room and then cut down the ones written by kids who died.

That probably made no sense.

No, it did make sense :)

I need to go to the post office and then grade papers. Otherwise next Sunday night I'll be sitting here with 200 projects saying "#######...I should have graded before Christmas"

What should I do for New Years? I was invited to 4 parties but I kinda wanna go to the Bahamas or something.

Please take me with you away from this snow and ice.
