Does make a difference. And it's money well spent, if you have a passion for food.

If you think about how many teflon pans you buy, scratch and throw out, it makes more sense to buy a real pan and have it for 30 years. Plus you can beat burglars with it (or husbands that come home late).

I just made chicken breast with snow peas, onion, red pepper and mushrooms with saffron rice and tomato sauce. I made a red wine reduction to go on top of the meat.

Julia, that sounds heavenly!

It was!! But Iwas also really hungry, so maybe that's why. lol

Since I got a new frying pan, I have been cooking a lot of meat. I really enjoy cooking again now. :luv:

Larry and I bought some really expensive frying pans last year and they are amazing. Well worth the price - it really does make a difference, doesn't it? :D

Yes it does! I had that debate with a friend earlier this week. I'm so happy someone else agrees with me :luv:

If I had to choose, I'd take one really expensive pan over a whole set of cheap ones any day!

For anyone who is into board games, this one is hilarious! Played it last night with some friends and could not stop laughing.

The game description...Time's Up! is a game for teams of two or more players (best with teams of two). The same set of famous names is used for each of three rounds. In each round, one member of a team tries to get his teammates to guess as many names as possible in 30 seconds. In round 1, almost any kind of clue is allowed. In round 2 no more than one word can be used in each clue (but unlimited sounds and gestures are permitted). In round 3, no words are allowed at all.

At first we thought it sounded boring but once we got into it we were laughing so hard we were crying.

Le Creuset, I'm salivating at the thought. I would love a set. Some things may be out of reach in my future though.

My mum got some in 1971 and they are still as good as the day she got them. They still rock. Ironically she doesn't really cook at all any more. I wish I had convinced her to give them to me. Oh well.

Will your lifestyle change a lot when you move to MI? I know there will be a difference as far as where you're living and all, but will you only work on the farm? Is there finance jobs available in the area? Just curious.

I am sure there will be finance work in MI processing the bankruptcies of the Big 3 auto manufacturers

Out here in the NYC metro area I am hearing there will be a lot of demand for financial compliance professionals as the new admin clamps down on the industry with new regs.

Maybe, but the wrong side of the state for me. This is not a good time for me I don't think. We don't know what my future employment opportunities may be. I will have to travel to Kalamazoo minimum 1 hour or grand rapids minimum 1 1/2 hours.

Will employers be currently willing to take my experience and educational history etc etc blah blah.

I have no doubt I could have a minimum wage job immediately, but I'm not sure I could do that for long without going postal.

Ideally I would love role where I could work from home part of the time.
