They say its not the same but you can replace the whiskey with vanilla essence.

the recipe has vanilla and whiskey. if it was baked i could use whiskey because it evaporates, but since it isn't, i prefer to wait and prepare the real thing.

I just made chicken breast with snow peas, onion, red pepper and mushrooms with saffron rice and tomato sauce. I made a red wine reduction to go on top of the meat.

I am so happy right now. It was just what I needed.

Now I crave sweet. Hmmm I still have a soy choc pudding, I might have that.

i'll make steak, salad and for hubby i'll also bake a potato with sour cream and bacon. i'll pass on that, because i've bee craving cheese bread and i want to bake it today, and if i eat the potato i'll exceed the amount of calories i should be eating in 500 calories.

It was!! But Iwas also really hungry, so maybe that's why. lol

Since I got a new frying pan, I have been cooking a lot of meat. I really enjoy cooking again now.

Larry and I bought some really expensive frying pans last year and they are amazing. Well worth the price - it really does make a difference, doesn't it?
