AJ - how's the naturalization application coming along? Any movement for you all?

Yea, interview in 5 weeks. Newark has same-day oath, so assuming she passes civics test, almost exactly 4 months start to finish.

That's fantastic! Jacksonville didn't have same-day oath, but he was naturalized on 4th of July - which had to be the coolest thing. Also, if you're interested in getting her a very cool gift, (cuz really, what do you give someone for naturalizing?) have a flag hung over the US Capitol for her.

Another gift? What?

Well, I had a flag flown over the Capitol for my husband. It is very cool - look on your US Congressman's webpage and you should find something about the flag. For a very small amount, (we did it for $25) they will fly a flag in your wife's name in honor of her receiving her US Citizenship, over the Capitol. It comes with a signed certificate from your Congressman and the Architect of the Capitol. Then, you take the flag to Michael's and get a special flag box for like $20. Present the flag in the box, with the certificate together. My husband was truly touched - got very emotional when he saw it.

That is very sweet!

I agree! Staashi, I know to ask you if I ever need help coming up with an amazing gift idea. :P We haven't applied for naturalization even though he's been eligible for it for a bit. It's just another big chunk of money that we don't feel like spending right now, and we don't feel rushed about it yet. I guess eventually we'll do it, and then I might steal your idea. ;)

Please, steal away! I think it is one of the coolest things. My hubby was always like - "I'm never going to be one of those flag-waving Americans", so I had my doubts in giving him this gift. When he opened up the box, he was very, very touched. My aunt gave him my grandfather's casket-draped flag (he was USCG), he was so overcome with emotion. He now proudly displays both of the flags in our living room. :D

PS - Stina, it is alot of money. My mom gave him a check made out to USCIS in the N-400 amount as a Christmas gift. It was very cool.

Bleh. I'm done with work for today and cannot go home. Boring-time begins.

What can we do to help you out?

Oh I know I have a question for you I was going to leave on your blog.

What is your opinion on ELF?

You know? I have not tried them ever. Sadly enough they only sell them at Big Lots and that's like in the middle of nowhere :(

BUT I have heard from fellow bloggers that they are fabulous; specially the eye stuff and the tweezers. You sellin'? I'm buyin'

I always buy on line. Used them in Australia, then the Us and now in the UK. You want cheap, cheerful and for my mind good quality check them out.Eyes Lips Face - ELF

What I like best is whilst the mascara etc come in smaller containers, it means I don't feel bad throwing them out when the use by date comes, sometimes I've used them up to.
