Question about maiden name in your passport.

Okay, so my passport is in my maiden name, obviously, as I wasn't married before entering the US on the K1 visa. Now I have my state ID and SSN in my married name, and my EAD and AP documents are also in my married name.

Say I wanted to travel abroad using AP. Does it matter that my passport still contains my maiden name? What does one have to do to prove that, despite using documents with two different last names, I'm the same person? Should I book tickets in my maiden name, or married name?

My passport doesn't expire until 2015, and I really don't want to have to get a new one before then. All my visa information and the I94 are in my current passport.

I'm not planning to travel abroad until I get my Green Card, and hope, therefore, never to have to use AP. But if an emergency arose and I had to travel, what would I need to do here?

book your tix in your passport name

travel with the document that legally changed your name (marriage certificate) in addition to GC or AP

YMMV
