AOS Money Order

Sorry for such a silly question. Tried to find the answer in the other topics but couldn't.

So if any of you can help me what should I write on the money order. On both, $395 (i485&bio) and i765

Make 2 money orders. (Recommended by the USCIS)

1 - for the I485 & Bio

1 - for the I765

Personally I would use a check. I bought a money order from USPS only to realize that it can not be tracked online.

The I-485 form states clearly, at the bottom of page 5, left-hand column:

The check or money order should be made payable to the Department of Homeland Security

I would send a personal check so you can track it.

agree! I used USPS money order and couldn't check at all. that is frustrating!

Doesn't I rather sent it to Immigration?

Oh, and btw I already have money orders so can't change it. Guess my husband didn't think about tracking it when he have got them. Well guess will have too handle waiting

The USCIS is a subdivision of the DHS. Technically you can make the money order out to either of them, but why go against what the form says?
