I just called the US Embassy Manila, and the woman I spoke with in the visa section confused me thoroughly. I wanted to know which form to use for Affidavit of Support. She said I could use either one, but that the K3 (with I-129F, which requires the I-134) is usually faster, but not always faster, for getting reunited. She said sometimes the Alien spouse doesnt know what to really do at the time, so it takes longer.... that the I-130 (requiring the I-864) sometimes is better, that the I-130 may not be sent to Manila as fast as the I-129F though. But in the end she said it is entirely up to me which to use and for what purpose I want to use it for.

So like I said to begin with, it is clear as mud to me. Can someone simplify all that for me? I just want to get one or the other filled out now.

Thanks so much!
