Food for Christmass

Meron nako ham, tapos gagawa ako ng blueberry cheesecake for dessert...ano pa kaya masarap ihanda sa Pasko. O nga pala bale tatlo lang kami kakain, me my hubby and my mother in law...btw..no Filipino food kasi di naman sila mahilig kumain ng food natin(american food only)..any suggestion please.

On Thanksgiving Day we had our dinner with my hubby's parents and relatives. I made lumpia and they liked it so much. Naubos ang lumpia ko sa mesa. I brought 2 kinds of sauce. One was a Mama Sita brand (sweet & sour) and the other one is a sweet chili sauce made from Thailand. They liked the Thailand sauce better. This coming Christmas get-together of my family's husband, we will bring lumpia again because his aunt told me so

I suggest you try making Filipino food and introduce it to them. Maybe they will like it. Unahin mo muna testingin husband mo.

Hay naku mahilig sana ako mag luto, kaso lang tong asawa ko masyadong napaka pihikan when it comes to our food.

Ako na lang lagi kumakain ng niluluto ko... Anyways ask ko na lang MIL ko maybe she wants to try some of our food..

Go for lasagna and sweet and spicy spaghetti. And then you might wanna try salads too. Make it healthy, alam mo naman Pasko, puro kainan!

Shepherd's pie wala lang yan lang naiisip ko nagdala din ako ng lumpia sa xmas party ng asawa ko nagustuhan nila buti na lang

We'll have lunch with hubby's family:mom, sis, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc... magdadala lang kami pecan pie... then on christmas eve, dito lang kami sa bahay. we will have ham and sweet and sour na whole big fish, yong may ulo pa talaga. for dessert, i wanted to make macaroni salad using my mama's recipe kaya lang di masarap cheese dito eh, have found one na medyo malapit lapit sa lasa ng eden cheese sa pinas kaya lang walang available na cheese bar, yong sliced lang... maybe we will have leche flan na lang for dessert... btw, i have tried making leche flan before and my mother in law, pati na aunt ng hubby ko liked it very much, you might want to try it.

Anyway, we'll be having our dinner at my MIL house and my husband's sister will be the one to do the cooking. (as always) I was told to make leche flan for dessert so I guess that's all our contribution. His Aunt told me to make the menudo..so I guess that's one thing too!

Anyone who's willing to share their secret ingredient/s on their most requested recipes? . Aside kasi sa husband ko I'm not that confident na ipakain sa iba ang luto ko.Feeling ko kasi di nila magugustuhan . Syempre ang asawa ko obligado na sabihin na masarap ang luto ko

I sure wish we will have lechon.. but that will be too much for the people here.. they don't want to see the head of the pig or the whole roasted pig on the table... kahit nga isda takot silang makita yong head and tail.. they just don't know what they are missing.

That's very true. The other day I baked a whole chicken...my husband don't even want to look at it because he said its look like a bird

In fact its really look masarap....
