Evidence of Good Faith marriage

Hi all,

We received a letter requesting "Evidence of Good Faith marriage" today. Among the things sought are proof of FINANCIAL RECORDS and RESIDENCE; however, we live with my parents (no joint mortgage agreement) and have separate bank accounts. Besides her being covered by my employer's health benefits, I have trouble coming up with the evidence they want. Can anyone point me to a site where other examples of evidence are listed?

Thanks

As a minimum, you should have a joint bank account and perhaps 2-3 notarized affidavits from friends/relatives stating that they know that in fact you are married, and have been since MM/DD/XXXX. Obtain, if you can, a credit card in both names. Have your car re-registered in your joint names. Have you filed any joint tax returns? Provide evidence that she is on your employer's health insurance. I assume you have already supplied photos of both of you in different settings since your marriage. Get some more taken.

The following are considered proof of marriage:

1. Post mail in both your names

2. Joint account. You can open a joint account you know, you don't have to put a lot of money. I and hubby have separate account and we open joint account just for immigration purposes and we only have $50 in our joint account.

3. Bills in both your names like internet bills etc

4. Health benefits
