personal checks for AOS application

I am about to submit the AOS package. Does anybody know if regular personal checks accepted by USCIS, or do I have to get money order/cashier's checks for them?

We also sent personal cheques. I think money orders or certified cheques might clear slightly faster, but less hassle sending a personal cheque.

Our check cleared at the speed of light. USCIS needs to use the same people who cash the checks to adjudicate the petitions.

Also make sure that the bank the funds will be withdrawn from is a US bank, not from your applicants home country.

Your old checks are OK as long as the account number hasn't changed.

No problems at all. We also used personal checks with our old address but they cashed them without any problems!
