hi! i got other questions:

(1) am currently an overseas filipino worker in singapore. if and when i my fiance's application for K1 would be approved, where do i get interviewed by the US immigration? here in singapore or manila?

(2) i hold the green passport with an expiry date of 28 november 2010. DFA bulletin, however, said that this will only be valid till january 2010. i have read somewhere that one's passport should be valid for 6 months after the one reaches the US. my fiance and intends to file the K1 by the first quarter of 2009. do i need to get a new passport now (maroon/computerized) or wait until we have the approval from US immigration?

thanks a lot. this site is most helpful.

hello evemonte,

My Suggestion for you is to apply a new passport before you send you K-1 visa application since that your old passport will be expired 2010 \.

Take note that takes a long time to process for K-1 visa so when the time you got approved your old passport its almost expired too...

If i were you better apply a new to avoid delayed..

Or,,,Call Philippine Consulate in Singapore and the can give you a best advice...For my own experience i did renew early my passport as my old green one well be expiring end of 2009 but i did apply a Computerize one last march...

Hope its help you a bit..

Dblady
