:) u are definitely on the right track with wanting to read up and find more info on this other than just relying on lawyer. our lawyer are actually quite good, head of some regional board on immigration stuff or so, and come recommended by my husband's colleagues/company.. but all that didnt prepare us for the RFE (request for evidence) we got slapped with at the NVC, all coz the lawyer didnt do his homework throughly.. but we n our lawyer learnt our lesson.. we really do need to educate ourselves re it. now i always have my husband ask our lawyer this and that question every few days from reading things here on VJ.. ;) good luck to to all of us eh? :) keep in touch re your updates..

regards.. :star:

Welcome to VJ :)

You say you are filing for a visa, but you say that your husband has done biometrics and has had a medical exam. When you got married did he stay here? If so, you are not filing for a visa, he is adjusting his status through marriage to a USC.

Did you file an I-485 along with the I-130?
