I been using moneygram for 5 years now and never had a problem. This is the best and quickest way to send money.It is just like western only it is cheaper. Receiver will get the money in minutes. you can claim it in any PCI, RCBC banks or any cebuana lhullier pawnshops at any day even satrday and sundays.You can send it through Walmart which is 24 hrs. open for $9.46 up to $500.

there is the most cheapest way to send money,i opened an account in here.and i sent atm plus PIN no. to the philippines

and they can withdraw money anytime they want,and by using internet i can transfer how much amount of money i want to the account they are using in the philippines....

i dont pay for transfer and in every transaction or withdrawals they wont charge me for anything.........

i didnt pay for anything.............

But the thing I dont like in moneygram is that in every one dollar you received they get 1 piso.

Like for example the exchange rate today is 47 pesos but when you received the money

The exchange rate will only be 46 pesos. Try to observe that!

we also tried money gram and western union before while i was still in the phils but it sucks...

i was in the bank waiting 30mins or almost 3 hours before i can get the money...(money gram)

then western union is almost the same,since there are alot of people sending and recieving money..

until we open an account coming from here (USA) then he sent me the atm card plus PIN.and he could transfer any amount of money without hassle...

then after he transfered i can get it easily without any charges.

now that i am already here,i open up a new account then sent it to the phils..and same procedure...........

much easier and no hassle.....

Hi sis can I know which bank is that? My husband and I did that too wHen i was in PI. He sent me a copy of his ATM back then. I want to open my own bank account here too and send a copy to my family in PI.

Yes that would work too,,but I don't want anyone to have an access to my account even my mom..lol she would not be in control of taking money out of my account to spend shopping..lol .Old folks don't like dealing with ATM machines. Besides,, atm can be stolen that's my own opinion.

The difference is not that much..just a few cents..and if you think of the charge difference and the rate difference,, to sum it up..it's just the same with western..like i said this is just my own opinion based on experience as i have been using moneygram for 5 yrs now and my mom gets d money in minutes as matter of fact after i send her the moneygram # she is just right there waiting for the cebuana to open and there was never a problem...i think it also depends on the location of the moneygram.

I use the Walmart Money Card.

I can put money on it at Walmarts and with one hour the money is available at virually any ATM worldwide.

I was wiring money to Brasil but that took days to accomplish and $20 to $40 fee to send the money, then the money had to go into the bank in Brazil from which the Brazilian governmant took its cut, 25 to 35 percent

The card can be sent through regular mail, delivry time 2 weeks, or FedEx overnight delivery time 3 days

Bottom line;

to wire $500 add $40 send fee = $540 Brazil government cut =$500 X .25 = $125 $540 sent, amount received = $375 available in 48 hours

Cost $540 benefit $375

Walmart Money Card to send $500 $500 + $4 fee = $504 sent, amount received $500 available in one hour

Cost $504 benefit $500
