Hey,

So my wifes I-130 got approved. I'm trying to prepare documents in advance for the next part.

The Thailand Police Station stated that my wife would need a document from my embassy stating that she would be going to move to the US with me?

Is there a document I need from the embassy? What do I ask for?

Thanks

Hi there

She can use NOA2 (Notice of Action from USCIS) they accept that. I just did my police certificate and I used NOA1. Just scan it to her.

Usually Packet 3 or Packet 4 notice will do the job for your purpose.

I sent you a PM. Your wife can call my wife. She was able to get the police report without having to go to Bangkok. Not sure how she did this. She didn't have anything from the embassy, but I think she needed photos.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
