:crying:

I filed the I-130 on the 25th of Nov 2008. Received on the 26th. Check Cleared on the 6th of December. I still haven't heard from the USCIS. No NOA. Its been more than 20 Days now. Does it take that much time. I am waiting for the NOA1, since i have to apply for the AOS, that I couldn't file with the I-130. Anybody else experienced delays. Most of the timelines I read on topics here receive their NOA's within a week.

Huh? Why not file everything at once? ie I-485, I-765, I-131 etc.

I blame holiday mailings for delayed NOA

Mine took 14 working days to get to my mailbox. Don't worry you should get it soon. If not, call the USCIS customer service line for your case#. I did that with mine! Good luck to you!

I called them 2 days ago. They said to wait for 30 days and then if the NOA1 is not here, i should get in touch with them. Guess its standard procedure.

JeffandDona,

I know I should have submitted it all together. It will be a whole month on the 26th of december since I filed on the 26th of November. I am not sure if USCIS will be closed till New Year. Dont know how the Xmas vacations work here. I should definitely have heard from USCIS pertaining to my I-130 Application since the money was cashed on the 6th of December. Considering the vacations and back log, even then it shouldn't have taken that long for the NOA to arrive. Would they send another if its lost or messed up by USCIS?

My NOAs were sent to me on December 12. On December 23 I received Biometrics Letter. And only on December 24 I received my NOAs. And to my mind there was delay because of the envelope. I will try to explain:

On the envelope there is a window which shows addressee information typed on the notice. But the notice was moved in the envelope so the addressee information was not seen. And that is why the envelope was damaged a little bit.

Hope you understand=)
