SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Police said a man who demanded money from a San Antonio McDonald's cashier got only laughs -- the employee did not realize it was a robbery.

Investigators said the worker laughed at the man's request for money then suggested he get a job to make cash, KSAT-TV, San Antonio, reported Wednesday.

The suspect then allegedly pulled a box cutter on a couple inside the eatery and took a man's wallet -- only to discover there was no cash inside, investigators said.

The man experienced further bad luck when he left the restaurant and was almost immediately arrested by a police officer who responded to a call from across the street, police said.

Authorities said the suspect is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery.

Something similar would happen if anyone would try to steal my purse or wallet. I just don't keep cash on me.

Same here! They'd have good breath and coupons to purchase things :P That's about all in my purse; mints and coupons!

Ha! I also keep coupons on me. I have a little Ziploc bag full of them. It is so handy.
