Faryan, your wedding was beautiful and I love your hair-piece.

My dress is being made by my mum and we are using ivory duchess satin. She's pretty good with the old needle and thread. I have seen some beautiful embroidered material and would like to incorporate somewhere but it's very expensive. As you can see my ideas change all the time! I bought my shoes first as I was very particular with what I wanted, so we are making the dress around the shoes.

Here's my flowers too, they are made from foam and are so soft and light.

Yeah, they are from this site www.silkweddingdesigns.com

Her flowers are either silk or foam. I thought I had ordered silk at first but was pleasantly suprised when they arrived. She also delivers worldwide.

Wedding car as in....the one you are leaving the ceremony in? Yikes, what needs to be done, Laura?!

It's the car that will be taking us to and from the ceremony. It's Tom's car but it's in for a major restoration, and has been for the last three years. All the mechanical i.e engine bits are done it just needs bodywork, painting and a new interior. I hope it's ready in time.

Jundp - Lovely lovely photos of you and family! and your shoes are super wicked hehehe :D how did your son feel re wearing kilt?

Laura - whatever happens to Tom's car? still got time tho, no worries.. and i love your shoes! i had silver satin and diamante strappy heels for my green lace dress (cake cutting), but i dont have pic of it, something like yours but strappy heels.. maybe if u come to asia you can get materials embroidered as u like, and cheaper too, esp in indonesia. altho, with LDR and visa fees and the economy, we have to watch the $$ ehh? me & hubby are broke :crying:

I forgot to add, this is our wedding car, this is one of the reasons to why I am stressing so much.

Oh, Laura, no wonder you are stressing about it ;) it still looks a wreck. But if it's just a bodywork, it should be done and ready before your wedding. The time is on your side here

I'm thinking about a bicycle myself... it would be fun :P ... maybe I would need a shorter dress and either proper shoes or barefoot otherwise I might lose my flip-flops ;).

I bought a wedding mag the other day and it had an article in it about BBC3 making a wedding programme and you can email them and see if you can get on it. They pay for your wedding but the glitch is (at least as they see it) that the groom must organise everything! Well, since he's doing just that, I'm still contemplating writing to BBC  It would be nice to have free wedding, right?! :)
