Hard to say who is who

We are evolving...gone from a courthouse 'do' to a 'wedding' wedding...and in another state no less. His parents are elderly, and not able to travel very well, so it looks to be us travelling. Virginia to Arkansas, my SO wants to drive that distance, and take his daughter and the two kids...who have ADD. *sigh* Read road trip from hell. We can't even get from here to the shops without war breaking out in the back seats, aboiut a 15 minute drive.

We've had a plumbing disaster in the flat, the water heater tank blew up and we were ankle deep down there. Just getting it right the end of this week, we have stuff all over the place drying out...and would you believe it is not so long to the wedding and I have no blessed idea on what I am even wearing?

tranquilisers sound like a good bet...safest if you take them and wake up when you get there!!lol

Any ideas on styles for a dress that you want?

Oh wow. Virginia to AK? I was thinking 'road trip from hell' just as you said it and the plumbing disaster... Nick and I just had a bit of one - I nearly wet myself laughing as he was in the bathroom yelling "hold my pants!!!" because he didn't want the bottom of his jeans to get icky! ahhh I love him!

And on the bright side hun - at least you're together

Do you have any ideas about a gown? Or have you looked at any?

Looked at a few...hard to find something that doesn't scream wedding dress.....and I am a bit long in the tooth for too much frou frou..and it isn't our first rodeo either..

Less than 3weeks till the wedding and still so much to sort!

Although i found the cutest page-boy outfit for my nephew, had to buy it in the UK nd get my Mum to send it over!

The good news...at the moment i can still fit into my dress!! Really hope the bump doesn't expand too much in the next few weeks! hehe

yes we did the courthouse wedding on 20th March and all the AOS papers got sent yesterday.

My Hubby and I met online we were friends for a while. Then we became something more. We finally sealed our love on Dec. 16,2006. The dress I had bought at a local laundrymat which was a bridal shop. Our wedding Invitations we made ourselves. After the Wedding we gave everyone a bookmark thanking them for coming to our wedding. It was a lot of fun. I put henna on my hands, for our wedding. We wrote our own wedding vows. Decorated my parent's house for our wedding. We bought blue silk cloth from Ikea. We now used the same cloth for our curtains. The wedding shoes I bought ballerina slippers off of ebay. I also bought biogradable rice shaped like hearts from ebay. We had a candle ceremony and a communion ceremony. Everything was beautiful. We took an ordinary Guest book tied ribbions to it. Then put our picture on it. We also bought 8 vases used fake wooden roses and tie ribbons. Our theme was Royal Blue, Silver and White. Everything worked wonderfully. We just had a pot luck for our reception. Well that was our wedding. Hope your wedding is just as magical as ours was.

I'm no where close to my wedding, but I've still been thinking about it.

We were planning to get married in June... but stuff happened and we messed up and didn't realize we could just go and get married and adjust my status. Thankfully I got stopped. Now I've got a file on my passport profile. Whoops.

Anyway.

My fiance and I met online just like alot of people here.

I didn't really start getting serious until like a year into the relationship, never knowing what relationships were n stuff. Eventually, we got engaged, but got kinda bummed out because we had to wait for him to become a citizen. Still waiting for it, April 22nd is the swear in date.

I've already picked my dress.

What really got me on it was the back view, and it's simple and not too expensive... if 500 and under is not expensive for a wedding dress, haha.

Havn't really thought of much else. Sort of looked into bridesmaid dresses, but since we don't know when the wedding is, the two people I want there will probably be in school and can't come. Figures.

I'm doing my own cake, even though people keep telling me you shouldn't be doing that stuff yourself, haha. I guess I just want it hands on and done the way I want.

Wedding colours are espresso brown (to match the dress trim) and a really dark pink, plus the white.

Not a clue where the wedding's going to be, other than somewhere in California. I'd like outdoors, but it might be too chilly by then.

Too bad it's so hard to attempt to plan a wedding when you haven't a clue if the visa process isn't going the way you want.
