Being how Tim's and my wedding is still quite a few months away...

However, it will be big!! Not my idea though, he just knows LOTS of people!! And this is his first marriage, ( he's turning 50 in April). So quite a lot of folks want to celebrate with him!! Oh well, I need to let him enjoy it.

We'll be married in his hometown, and at his church, so no problem booking that!! ^_^ I've 3 bridesmaids picked out, and am looking for a pattern so that they can make the dresses as they all live in various places. One is Tim's sister, so she lives in SC. Another from California, and the other from Alberta, Canada!! So, this is going to be interesting....

My dress is a 1950's retro, and fits my personality and style! My hair is quite long, yet it will be up with curls cascading down my back and baby's breath through out. Not sure of the bouquet yet...depending on when we get married, I'll see about what flowers are in season. I'd like to hold maybe about 3 long stemmed types. The girls are wearing purple, and I'm going to wear lavender. This is actually my 3rd marriage ( yes...that is not a typo) so I'm thinking white is out. :D I also don't wish to walk to the "wedding march" so I'm looking online for love songs, and found a couple I really like!! ( if Tim goes for it, there is one that would be great if we sung it as I walked down the aisle!) I've a 22 year old son, and will make sure he's there, as I would like for him to give me away.

Tim's been looking at reception halls, finding prices, etc., so we'll have to have a few on hold until we know the date. And he wants a professional photographer!! Guess I should let him know about the AOS charge, eh? He just may be changing his mind.....We will also have a stretch limousine for the bridal party. His very good friend rents them out...and is donating a car and driver for the wedding!! Not overly sure of the honeymoon plans yet. We probably will go to Myrtle Beach for the first night, as it's a couple hours away, and then I'd just like to take 2 or 3 weeks to travel the eastern states. Might as well, can't leave the country for bit!! I think it would be fun to go up north and travel. Make a loop and come back to SC. We could see quite a bit in that time frame.

I haven't had a chance to see too many of the pic's you posted, but I will for sure later on. Just in a bit of a hurry now, but saw this thread and had to post!! What a great idea. Makes it more real to be able to share our plans, because right now, I find it extremely hard to plan for my wedding when I live 2500 miles away, and have no idea when I'm getting married!!

Not sure how to post a picture of my wedding dress, so I wouldn't mind a helpful hint! Thanks!!

Sounds like you have it all sorted!! WTG!! :D Organized ppl are my idols!!! :D

What's everyone doing with their hair for the wedding?

Mine is shoulder length and I'm going to have it up in some way - still undecided. Anyone have dos in mind? Pics to share?

No idea, am currently waiting to see how long it grows. At the moment it's just above my shoulders and I can't tie it up. Am going for a birdcage veil though.

I had my hair half up, half down. My sister in law curled it a bit, took an hair clip and voila! :)

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Thank you! Yummy is EXACTLY how I'd describe him too!

The photogs we've priced in Florida have been about $400 for 2 hours and then up from there...

and what we've seen, they don't price more for location shoots but rather their traveling time and costs etc...

Photographer prices really vary according to where you're located and the quality of the photographer you get. In Pittsburgh, PA they ranged from $200/hour- $10,000 for the day. Some photographers will charge you extra for prints or make you purchase an album, others refuse to give you rights to the images to print yourself. Make sure they won't charge you extra for editing, albums, etc. beforehand or it can be much more expensive than your original quote! I found an amazing photographer based in California who charged $800 per hour PLUS $50 per edited image. Whaaaat?!

So yeah, it really, really depends. But sometimes if you're having a really unique wedding they'll knock a bit off the price because it helps their expand portfolio. The photographer who did our engagement photos in the UK is willing to fly to the U.S. for much, much cheaper than he charges his British clients simply because he wants to add a city elopement to his portfolio. I guess he views it as a free vacation!

Ugghhh... thats soo expensive! I had my good friend here did my wedding (2 events) photos, she's a one woman show. And her going rate was like RM1500 (thats about USD 400+ methinks) but she did the editing for me, i got a great photoalbum (the way i wanted it, travel friendly not weighing tonnes) printed on archival paper, a stack of loose photos, CD of all the pics.. She's relatively new to wedding photography, she usually did the artsy stuff, but i love what she did. I have friends who's photogs cost RM5000 upwards, and under RM1000, i guess depends on the depth of their pockets tho ehh?

I really want to have a pro in US taking candid family pics for when we have kids. But will have to do my homework on the costs and what other service included in tht cost then i think, ya? But hey, it wont be that soon tho.. But we shall find out on the 31st... But then again, we can always come back to Malaysia for it...

Whooo hoooo I got that dress pattern and is sooooo pretty.... I just can't wait for Tim so see me in it!!

hairstyleforweddingbu0.th.jpg

I'm hoping that my hair will look similar to this, but with some baby's breath, and maybe some small purple or lavender flowers, any suggestions for those?

I'm also thinking that for the cake, I may have a themed one. I saw the picture of the ski hill, ( I love it!). Tim and I met in Hawaii, so maybe a couple of figures in Hawaiian shirts, palms trees, pineapples..something for sure that depicts our meeting.

And at the head table....those small Canadian and Unites States flags...the kind you wave at special events. I'm not 100% on these ideas...haven't exactly talked with you know who yet...but I'm pretty sure he'll agree to some of the things I'd like...hee hee.

OH!! I don't know how to post a video...but if you go to Youtube, and search for "I wonder what God was thinking"...that's going to be the song I walk down the aisle too...I'm not going to do the "here comes the bride"...ugh! Been there twice now, I'd like something different!!

I'm buying the strangest things at the moment. Today I got some balloon weight gift boxes which you can fill with stones and attach balloons to. Also bought a small ivory cluch bag and have been looking at jewellery.
