Good Morning

we have dreary weather here still and getting colder by the day

i think our good fortune of the extended warmth is finally goneeeeeeee

we didnt make out too bad with our little rain/sleet/snow mix last night

for the rest of y'all...be careful

baby poopsss  at this time, NO THANKS!

i love babies and toddlers but what I deal with now amongst my teen and preteen...i can hold off another couple years on the little babe

oh yes my hubby has no kids so he and I want to have one

however, I am 36 and my youngest is now 9...I wont even think about it until he is working steadily and we have at least 2 years behind us. Is 39 or 40 to old to have a baby? I mean I cant even think about waking up again in the middle of the night or worrying about sitters

well i am glad it is wednesday...come on weekend!!!!!!!!!

my darling and I tackled the tree last night.

a fake one, which I dont like but it turned out just beautiful and hubby had his first experience with tree light frustrations :bonk::yes:

i told him oh you dont know the fights that can erupt from decorating a tree

one minute holiday cheer the next holiday disaster :lol:

have a good one!

have a good one!

I think that if you stay up on your visits with your ob/gyn and plan a pregnancy no it is definately not too old. A lot of women put their careers first and start their families at 39 or 40. My youngest was 8 when Malek was born, I was 32 and my husband was 37. It really threw us for a loop though. I had forgotten how much work it was to have a little one again. Although, it is rewarding to have a baby it is a lot of work and it is harder on your body than it was in your 20's. Malek will be our last....we are now 33 and 38 and have his, hers and ours. Best wishes to you!!!

Bridget...boopity boop still sits by me. She also has a stall technique of my system is slow or my system is having problems....ok, that's my job to fix those issues, let the analyst know if you are having problems. I walk over, no problems...operator error of course. Also, her phone vibrates off of her desk all day long. I heard she is moving and I am going to throw a party for her when she does!!

Well I had my first at 30 and my second at 31 and am hoping to have my third by the time I'm 44, though we'll see if that happens or not. As soon as I hit 45 I'm done whether or not we have one because I think that's just pushing it for me personally.

I was exhausted with my first two BUT I had no help and my husband at that time was staying out till 3am cheating on me so I think that added to the stress. This time I have a loving husband who is extremely eager IF it happens and extremely accepting of Allah's plan for us if it doesn't.

The pros and cons that go through my mind on a daily basis at my age are:

Pros:

a baby! :dance::dance:

a legacy for my husband since he has no children

a second chance at this for me, this time with someone who actually is loving

I'm much calmer now than I was at 30. I won't be freaking at the little things I was so ocd'ish about back then, like binkies falling on the floor, being crazy about germs in the house, etc.

I've done it before and have good experience behind me.

Cons:

being pregnant. I know it's a blessing but it was never that easy for me. I'll get through it but it will be harder at my age.

being tired, although I have to say I have more energy now that I have resolved many health issues that I was unaware of back then such as my thyroid, etc.

All in all it's worth it and no matter what it's ultimately up to HIM. Big H. I am not into doing invitro, though I did consider it at one point. I did take chlomid for a cycle but no way in heck I'm ever going on that stuff again since I have never felt so gawd awful in my whole entire life.

Happy Wednesday MENA! Hope everyone has a nice day!

Recently spoke to my OBGYN in regards to children later in life (I'm 39, hubbys... well - NOT!) and I already have a 14 yr old (I can see the light at the end of the tunnel - why oh why would I EVER wanna go backwards again  )

Its a tremendously huge decision and this whole visa journey doesn't make it any easier with the race against time.

With my age & issues - Dr. says anythings possible, last resort ... fertility treatments covered til age 45 with health insurance so no worries.

Hey all! Happy Wednesday. I hope everyone is doing well - it is 80 degrees here today and I'm not bitching although I do want the cold back.

Kelly, we call those 8 wipers Blowouts!

San, I would suggest that if you're thinking that you will get preggers when you're 39 or 40 that you not only keep up with your OB/GYN but start getting in prime physical condition, which as a trainer you should have no problem with. I'd also start taking prenatals everyday because that will help you get ready. All I know is that I'm 34 and the pregnancy is kicking my azz, and I'm damn sure that this would not be the case if I was 25 or even 30...so tack on another 6 years and if I am preggers at 40 I'll shoot myself or my body will just keel over like the old gray mare. :bonk:

We went with the whole theory of let go and let God when it came to pregnancy. We knew we were at the right time (3 years into our marriage) and would just let it happen when it would happen. Well...we got pregnant that first month and with twins. Granted, both of us are in our early 30's, but we didn't expect it to be quite so quick and definitely didn't expect twins (we are the first case of twins in more than 5 generations in both our families). I have our countdown going to delivery day. Let it be coming soon! Four weeks of bedrest have driven me crazy and I cannot imagine 3+ more! Four weeks ago the babies were 4 pounds each (and I don't have gestational diabetes), so I can't imagine how big they are going to be!

Congrats Twila!! I don't want to scare you but I went full term and we had unexpected twins as well where there are no twins in our family for generations! :P I was going into my 40th week and had to have a Csection because the babies just didn't want to leave...they were quite comfy! Like Tasha said, the babies names are awesome! (F) Also, a word of advice...don't listen to them on weight! They told me 4-5 pounds and my twins were 6.7 lbs (girl) and 7.14 (boy)...So much for premmie clothes! I had to buy all new clothes for them! :P

Happy Hump Day MENA (F)

Wishing you all a beautiful day!!
