it was read and understood. perhaps you should consider that, eh? now define "recent" - and by your own admission, you've apparently in the past called for me to be removed. ;)

Of course I've called for you to be removed. I thought you were a horrible organizer before, and I still think you're one of the worst examples of an organizer VJ has. But I haven't called for you to be removed since the incident was resolved where you incorrectly removed a post from the RU forum, because it's just not worth it. I'd rather spend my time trying to ensure organizers are held to a specific standard so that problems like the ones you've caused in the past don't continue to happen.

Mox, what's that all about (the boldened part)?

All we can do is move threads. What 'higher standard' are we supposed to be held too? And not to pick a fight, but who picked you to be the 'organizer police'? Apparently organizers aren't supposed to enter a thread and interpret TOS, etc. Are you saying you can but we can't?

This is really getting to be quite childish, IMO. We don't get paid to do this stuff. And I don't put up with this kind of ####### on paying job. I don't see why it should be levied against volunteers.

bc some ppl just HAVE to be in control of EVERYTHING

and apparently it's still all about me.

Um. No it's not.

There's a couple of us they'd like to eject. And not just as Org's, but as members!

agreed, but as its not there forum, too bad for them :D

instead of PUSHBRK and you making organizer rules, the organizers and capt should have a meeting and decide these things together.

Well nobody has asked me to make the rules for organizers, and I doubt anyone has asked pushbrk also. So I don't think you have to worry about that. But I think your idea is fantastic. Get the organizers together, decide on a code of conduct, and present it to Ewok.

Honestly I don't care how it's done, I just want to see organizers held accountable. To date they have not been held accountable.

Mox, what's that all about (the boldened part)?

All we can do is move threads. What 'higher standard' are we supposed to be held too?

My personal opinion is that organizers should be held to the same standards as a moderator. Yes, all you can do "is move threads," but some of you (and as I've said before, it's the few bad apples, not all of you) have abused this privilege by drive-by moving and also by moving threads as passive-aggressive snubs. It is disruptive and hurts the integrity of VJ.

And not to pick a fight, but who picked you to be the 'organizer police'? Apparently organizers aren't supposed to enter a thread and interpret TOS, etc. Are you saying you can but we can't?

I don't think you're picking a fight RJ. You and I have always been able to have honest disagreements, and I really appreciate that about you. But what is it about my position that makes me come across as the "organizer police?" I perceive a problem with a small minority of the organizers, and I want to see some standards implemented to fix that problem.

There's a couple of us they'd like to eject. And not just as Org's, but as members!

Who is "they" and who's asking for people to be removed as members, and quite frankly why on earth would you believe this would even be a possibility???

YES I think some organizers shouldn't be organizers anymore. No I'm not going to name names, but it doesn't really matter because it's not like Ewok and I are in communication decided the fates of selected organizers. And NO I certainly don't advocate that organizers have their membership revoked. That's starting to sound paranoid.

accountable as in normal TOS? or organizer TOS? bc i can tell you, the way charles is suspended on here, hes held accountable. and i have been suspended once, i asked for it, i knew i would be with my statement i made, but we are held accountable for our actions.

as far as being being held at the standard of a mod, we shouldnt, mods and orgs are 2 different things. So no i dont think we should be held to a mod standard. being an org is voluntary...and we get nothing but grief...for the little bit of what we do, we report and point out violations of TOS and move topics. thats it, and PUBLICLY we get more ####### than the mods do. if ppl want us to act better, or at the standard of mods, then members need to treat us better. its like respect, ppl want it, but they dont want to give it.

Moderators are also a volunteer job, and they also get a lot of grief. But if what you're saying is true, that organizers take so much more ####### than mods, why do you think that is? Could it be because of the way a few of you have overstepped your authority?

That's not how it works. You don't demand respect, you earn it.

There's a post in this thread a ways back where Push says if it were up to him, my account would be deleted. So I'm not paranoid.

I don't think Org's necessarily get more grief than Mod's. Actually, I think the more ANYONE posts the more grief you are inclined to get. It's a result of membership size and the fact there are not enough Mods with designated areas to patrol.

As for me asking you who made you the "Org Police", you stated you'd rather spend your time holding people to a higher standard. Just seems like an ax grind to me.

Let's have a TOS Amnesty day... an absolutely unbridled b-i-t-c-h-f-e-s-t, a free for all, we can pick fights, and see how down right bloody awful we can all get...clear the air, say what we want, post what we want...and then resume to normal the following day all spent. Like after a great orgasm. What do you say? I think it'd be fun, and I'd even clear my calendar for that day

no one asked you but you sure have made it your mission in life to do so. :secret: obsessions are not good for the health, mox. while you may think organizers are not held accountable (accountable seems to be the current buzzphrase around here lately), i assure you that whatever it may be you want organizers to be held accountable for, they are via the tos and ewoks' guidance on organization. just because you are not informed of some action holding them "accountable" doesn't mean it does not occur. :secret: it's a lot like a suspension!

My personal opinion is that organizers should be held to the same standards as a moderator. everyone has an opinion, but i'd sure like to see these moderator standards you think organizers must adhere to as i've yet to run into them on vj.

you also seem to have some thing about "drive by moving" which i'm sure is intentionally phrased to make someone sound guilty. you can think it's that all you want, but organizers are not assigned an area of responsibility. and furthermore as a fyi, i've not yet moved a thread as part of some p-a snub. should you really have your panties in a wad about who moved what thread in the past, take it up with ewok, i'm sure he can find out who moved a thread.

I don't think you're picking a fight RJ. You and I have always been able to have honest disagreements, and I really appreciate that about you. There's a post in this thread a ways back where Push says if it were up to him, my account would be deleted. So I'm not paranoid.

Ah, gotcha. Well I can't speak for pushbrk, but I'm not out to see anyone's account removed.

I don't think Org's necessarily get more grief than Mod's. Actually, I think the more ANYONE posts the more grief you are inclined to get. It's a result of membership size and the fact there are not enough Mods with designated areas to patrol.

Agreed on both points, especially the need for more mods.

As for me asking you who made you the "Org Police", you stated you'd rather spend your time holding people to a higher standard. Just seems like an ax grind to me.

Ah. It was a poor choice of verbiage on my part then. I'd rather just spend my time doing whatever it is I do on VJ. The part where I go and rant about organizers is just a side-hobby. :) In all seriousness though, my perception is that there is a problem with the way organizers are managed, and a select few of you use that loophole to abuse your authority. If the problem went away then I could care less how organizers were managed or what standards they were held to, just as long as we stopped seeing these abuses.

Let's have a TOS Amnesty day... an absolutely unbridled b-i-t-c-h-f-e-s-t, a free for all, we can pick fights, and see how down right bloody awful we can all get...clear the air, say what we want, post what we want...and then resume to normal the following day all spent. Hehe. It would be like Festival!

Actually, you're not even close. If I had it my way, you'd have to dress like a geisha, going from forum to forum singing "I wanna be loved by you," while your bitter, humiliated tears drove rivulets of mascara down your powdered white face. Or spandex and sad clown makeup. I can't decide. Someone should start a poll. When I am King of VJ I will abide by the results.
