I can honestly say WE DO GET WARNED when we break the TOS...and we can and do get suspended just like anyone else. i dont understand the constant whining about orgs. You give orgs no respect whats so ever, and now you want us to have to go by the same rules as a mod. It seems like you just want to continue to belittle, attack and insult ORGS with us not being able to say anything back as a regular member would be able to.

IMO they get abused because they don't have any real power. Their decisions can be over-ridden by Admin.

And they apparently feel like they have to caucus whenever there's a real uproar. I don't get that bit. If you see a situation just deal with it and don't wait to have a committee meeting over it.

There are no TOS violations in this thread. Unless you regard the fact that it's not okay for someone to speak frankly about you. Which is odd because you've clearly spoken frankly in this thread about others.

Your problem with the TOS is you don't understand it.

Whether somebody is being "bilittled" is a matter of opinion and if the admonishment amounts to a violation of TOS, then the TOS need to be enforced. This is the particular section to which I refer. Would the admin care to render an authoritative opinion on its meaning wrt. the subject at hand? Please include your opinion on which members are responsible for "admonishing" other members.

Publicly? Wouldn't that, in itself, serve to further "belittle" the individuals involved? Why do you need the Admin to do that? To make a point? And to what end?

Frankly, I have long ago determined that the TOS doesn't work without a moderator online and in each forum all the time. There is an ability on here to take one's "######" from one thread to another without anyone other than those active on each thread involved to know what is really being said. And furthermore, if someone does violate the part of the TOS to which you refer, it's near impossible to draw that individual's attention to that fact without being cited for violation oneself. My thoughts in this regard are that while it is impossible to have "real time" moderation without compensation for hours and hours of work invested, the individual in a particular exchange that should receive admonishment or penalty, should really be the one who first cast the stone. Thereafter, it's merely self-defense.

I give the orgs respect who have earned respect. I give orgs respect who have demonstrated that they understand their role and don't abuse it. Sin, I have even complimented you publically in the past. But when I see a spade, I'm sorry but I'm going to call it a spade. If an organizer is going to act like a douche, I'm going to be on them like white on rice.

That's not true. I "attack" organizers when I see them violating their position. I don't know how many organizers VJ has (way too many, probably) but I can count on one hand the organizers I've "attacked" without using all my fingers. And Ewok has made it very clear (up to this point, now I'm not quite sure I understand what the exact policy is anymore) that organizers are treated like normal members. I disagree with this, but you are wrong when you say "bc we are not mods we were and are able to say something."

Repsect is earned, not demanded. I think if you talk to the mods they'll tell you they take a helluva lot more heat than your typical organizer. Do your job, hold yourself to a higher standard, and people WILL respect you.
