Timeline

I sent in the I-129F on Dec 6th, on Dec 8th my packet was rec'd in California. My check was cashed on Dec 10th, and today (Dec 16th) I rec'd the I-797C Notice of Action. I am fairly new here so I apologize in advance if my question seems stupid, but isn't this my first NOA1? I have been trying to learn how to do my timeline, but I want to make sure I'm doing this right. The I-797C is just a receipt notice, correct? Thanks

That is correct, this is your first NOA, the second one is your NOA#2, which tells you if you have been approve or not and that they send your petition to NVC. From NVC, it goes to the embassy of your SO country where the interview is going to happen.

Good luck with you journey and just be ready for a good wait...
