What airline do you use to fly to Morocco?

I have flown Delta, Northwest Airlines, Air France, KLM, and Royal Air Maroc. I usually try to look at Northwest Airlines first because of my frequent flier miles, but honestly I would just first check kayak.com and go through all of the airlines to find the best price. cheapotickets is good and so it orbitz. i just flew home on Sunday the 14th and I bought my ticket directly from nwa.com and it was an overnight flight on the way to Morocco...about 14 hours air time, and the return flights were all on the same day. Ya gotta remember the time difference is going to make it super hard to find a flight that is less than 2 days. We're adding 5 hours from where I am in Ohio.

I flew NWA from Dayton to Detroit, NWA from Detroit to Paris, Air France from Paris to Casa. Return was Royal Air Maroc from Casa to Amsterdam, KLM from Amsterdam to Detroit and then NWA from Detroit back to Dayton. All booked simultaneously through nwa.com....their site is great IMO.

2 days for a return trip is a long one. Would have really expected just one day for that, but we have to really expect 2 on the way over. Hope some of that helps :) I don't know where in Morocco you are heading, but for me it is more economical to fly into Casa. It's a very nice airport too :D

Enjoy your trip :D:dance:

Well if you dont care about layovers and 2-3 connecting flights, I'd say take the cheapest ticket you find

but if you want quality flying, one hour layover and 1 connection, I recommend AIR FRANCE.

It takes about 8-9 hours getting there, more I guess coming back, due to the wind current.

Especially for your fiance, who will at some point, be coming this way. That way there is the FRENCH CONNECTION in Paris, so navigation through that airport is easy as can be and in my experience I get off one plane and right on the next....usually about $800-$900 roundtrip

I wanted to add that I live in Philly.

I try to leave from my city cuz obviously this is easier than driving to Newark or JFK, which would be an additional 2 hours to just get to the airport.

I have connected in Dulles and JFK.

I usually have to connect in JFK or some smaller airport here then always connection in Charles deGalle in Paris..then Morocco.

I have used DELTA...bad experience, shitty service

but all in Air France with RAM

Best service: British Airways

Best frequent flyer program: Air France (Skyteam, Delta)

I've flown RAM a few times but it's like a flying bus. Sure, they get you there, but customer service is not a priority with them.

Air France has decent customer service, but the big selling point with me is the frequent flyer program. I get Delta Skymiles 1 for 1, and coupled with my AmEx Skymiles card I get award travel much faster. As I've just completed my 15th trip to Morocco, earning award travel is important. :)

For a while it was much cheaper to fly to Europe than Morocco, so a few times I flew Iberia to Spain, then got to Algeciras to take the ferry to Tangier. That was exciting, but transferring miles to American was very disappointing, cause you only get 25% of them.

BA has the best CS, but unless you buy a higher fare you don't earn any frequent flyer miles.

I was looking on CheapoAir.com and the cheapest flight I could get out of Lafayette, La was for about $1100. It sucks that I'm not closer to a big airport. Like you said (Sandrila) flying from home is easier than driving 2 hours to get to New Orleans or 3 hours to get to Houston. Those of you who have traveled KLM what do you think about it? I usually travel Continental because that is who i get my miles with but KLM is one of their partners so I would still get the miles.

Yup - Delta service sucks but has the most flights that I've found so far to MENA from eastern seaboard ...

JFK? - I'm a native NY'er but gotta say its a NIGHTMARE & try to avoid it if I can ...

Hi star dragon

Congratulations you got approved I'm very happy for you

I book my flights through American Airlines. They don't fly there but their partners, Iberia and British Airways do. I fly out of Chicago and connect in London or Madrid. I also flew Royal Air Maroc once and while it was nice not having to overnight in Europe going back, going out there sucked, since the flight was delayed 12 hours causing me to miss my connecting flight in Casablanca to Marrakech. Also finding overnight lodging in NYC is not much cheaper than Europe  And with Iberia or BA, at least I can fly direct into Marrakech from Madrid or London. By far, my bookings through American Airlines have been the cheapest fare (ranging from $640-$850 rt).

How often do you plan on flying over?

I fly every other month to visit my husband. I got the continental credit card and earn points on that. Then I only fly Continental (even if a little bit more expensive) so that I keep points with the same airline. This allows me to get one free first class ticket for every few first class tickets I purchase. If you fly economy, the long distance will allow you to get enough miles to get every other flight for free. Only drawback is you would have to fly on the dates they would offer that free ticket use.
