Ahh my son and I were hungry so we decided to go to Wendy's to get some lunch. Unfortunately my husband took my car today so I was stuck with the crappy echo which was snow covered... and I didn't have a car brush... so I grabbed the hockey stick from inside the car and started pushing the snow off. It actually worked really well but the site was quite funneh.

Thanks to whomever suggested organic carrots instead of baby ones that have chemical-y stuff on them.... They taste sooo fresh and delicious!!

:)

Jill, are you the person who's from Oakville?

So I just watched the latest episode, I didn't really like it so much, I guess I don't find guys digging around automobiles for drugs that interesting.

 That one guy with the reciprocating saw just made himself look like an idiot.

Yes, that's me!!

I always used a broom in Canada - snow brushes are not made for Canadian winters, they are made for - well some other place that isn't Canada.

Why is the only 'warmish' place in Canada like Vancouver island? Which is very expensive?

While I hated snowy winters - that made me miss Edmonton winters for a few seconds. Only for a few.

Jill, are you the person who's from Oakville?

Yes, that's me!!

Have you seen the Oakville stuff on Facebook? Under the "You Know You're From Oakville When....." was this one:

I AM FROM OAKVILLE

(clears throat)

HEY…

I'm not from Mississauga, Burlington, or the "surrounding GTA".

I live in a nice house, with a white picket fence, and have a pool in my backyard.

And unfortunately, I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Oakville,

Although I'm sure I could find SOMEONE who does…

I go to private school, not public.

I speak 5 different languages, not just 2.

And I pronounce it "CHATE" not "CHAT", "CHATE"!

I can proudly say that my parents pay for the majority of everything I own.

I believe in house parties, NOT bush parties.

BMW's, NOT Hondas,

And that "The Beaver" is truly an OK name for a newspaper!

The "Ghetto" of Oakville IS Kerr street,

Having to take the Lexus over the Jag 'cuz it's raining outside IS okay

And it is pronounced "BRONTEE" NOT "BRONTÉ".

Oakville is the second richest per capita town in Canada,

The only town that actually lives in a bubble,

And the best part of southwestern Ontario!

I AM from OAKVILLE!!!

I thought of a broom but I didn't want to get it wet.

I had a great snow brush in Canada, it was retractible and lasted for many years, in fact my mom still uses it for her car.

Do you remember Borka? Another random post on FB about Oakville: LOL

Borka. An Oakville Legend.

You've probably stopped at the lights one time to find some old lady come and open your car door and hop in. After listening to some mumjo jumbo jesus loves you ###### i bet you wanted her to gtfo of your car... but she persisted, and you ended up driving her to wherever the hell she wanted to go, only to find she took all your change in the cupholders...

My Mom had Borka jump into her car one time. She ended up driving her to the mall! She tried to get in my car, once, but I managed to give her the slip. lol

OMG!! haha that happened to my friend about 8 years ago, he told me he was at a red light and a lady hopped in the front seat in Glen Abbey.... he completely freaked out.... and drove her to the GO Train  After that I always locked my car doors!! I didn't know she was referred to as Borka. That is too funny!

That is acceptable use. Hockey sticks are also acceptable to use to adjust the satellite on the roof, hang christmas lights and scare unruly children. Its the Canadian version of The Grabber.

I read online a comment on the CBC where someone said "Wonderful!

Now if only there were a way to keep him here and exchange him for Harper !

But then, no country would be dumb enough to accept Harper, even as door prize!"
