Oh! One more thing about the inauguration. I was really impressed with Senator Dianne Feinstein. Thought she did a great job.

She did a good job as the MC, but she's an unscrupulous politician, and is most likely going to be the next governor of California :help:

My husband interviewed for a General Manager's position yesterday at another restaurant but still owned by his company. They told him he is the top candidate which is awesome because he's only been in the business for 3 years, he's 26..and he will be the youngest GM in the company!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

He came home just now to grab his green card and SS card.

Lost returns tonight!!!!!!

(Is there a thread? I did a search and didnt see one)

I have never really watched this. My Husband watched the first two seasons - then lost interest.

Which reminds me, the best show on TV - grey's anatomy - is on tonight, I didn't watch last week so will go watch online now.

Did anyone watch that new border patrol show last night?

I love Grey's too, but it's on tomorrow night! Thursdays at 9! Unless today is Thursday and I'm mixed up?

Anyhoo, Homeland Security USA wasn't on last night, due to inaugural coverage. But it's back next Tuesday at 8 on ABC! I love that show, last week's was really good. There was this kooky American couple trying to get into Canada at the Blaine crossing and Canadian guards turned him back because he had a criminal record.

Oh #######!!! I knew there was something I wanted to watch and it was nagging at me but I couldn't remember what it was.

Okay, that's on my remote and I have no idea what it is. Is that something you have to subscribe to?

hehe yes you do have to subscribe to DVR, it's very handy. Basically it's like a VCR with no tape - you can record all of your favourite shows if you're out or busy, or just don't want to watch commercials like me. So I record my shows, and watch them later or next day. It's pretty great and you can record an insane amount of hours like 200 or so of TV. They are stored on your cable box.

Oh right, yeah it's Wednesday! Which I knew because my Husband told me when he came home earlier (I DID think it was Thursday today - I do not know why)

Oh, okay. I wonder how much that would cost extra? *wanders off to see if it's worth it*
