This morning is my last morning of coffee delights for just over two weeks! I long for the warmth of the south, of trying to unwind, and romance with my husband. I am taking my laptop, so I may pop in. If not, I'll see you all on February 9th!

Just as I was reading your post my Wesh 2 News popup popped up this: Hard Freeze Warning Issued for Central Florida

Bring your mittens, Carla!

I did view the weather, and while it's going to be "cool" in mid Florida, it'll be a whole lot better than here! And remember...I'm only going to be in Central Florida for a day or so...the rest of the time we'll be in the Keys.

Maybe we should all go to the keys with you :hehe:

I mean reallly it's cold!!

I hope you have a marvelous trip Carla !

Good morning everyone!

Oh and yesterday Mike got offered a full time job with the company where he has been working on contract since early October, so that was nice. 2 weeks holiday after a year and 4 hours paid time off per month (which is unusual but nice).

He does have to go for a drug test and have a background check

Ohhhhhh, NICE!!!!!!! Congratulations to MikeMix.

Hope he passes his background check. /sarcasm

And don't forget to tell him to study up on his drugs! I've never had a drug test, before, but I can imagine they must be pretty gruelling. Maybe Flames can be his study partner.

Haha. From my aunt:

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater.

If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.

If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.

If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.

If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.

She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.

So, if you give her any #######, be ready to receive a ton of #######.

Yeah, I heard about the cosmetics settlement - but even if I wanted to go to Macy's - it's too cold to go out today!

I was sent for the "pee test" to work on that tallship this Summer.

It was quite nerve-wracking! The owner of the vessel told me as I was on my way there, that if I failed he would have to tell the Coast Guard and my "career" in boating would be over. That would suck as I am looking forward to getting my captain's license!

The bathroom they send you into has blue water in the toilet and the container and the procedure is quite the process.

Of course I passed...although I wasn't sure i would being I had been around people smoking pot and was concerned.

Inhaling it from the air obviously did not trigger it.

Phew!

When I went to BC last summer, my brother took me to the lake to hang out with his buddies for the weekend.. when we arrived his friends were all sitting around a table knitting, talking and playing cards.. and there was a BIG bag o pot in the middle of the table.. so we said hello.. and then went down to the lake to take everything in.. my brother looked at me with this smerk and said.. oh.. I guess I should have told you my friends are all potheads. tee hee.. anyway that was QUITE the weekend in the woods with all the granolas of Victoria Island :)
