Ever had a moment when you get deja vu? What is it about this poster, and this question that reminds me of the SAME person asking similar questions here in the Canada Forum last year? I reviewed their profile and they've not posted before? I did a member search and didn't see a similar name. I believe he posted prior to visiting in the US. Am I going crazy?

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=172360

Can someone have an account from April 2008 and never post? Can they have their account closed, then reactivated with no recording of previous history of posts?

Maybe it's me....but dang I'm sure I remember this poster!

Actually Carla - I just spotted another person posting that I haven't seen in months and months - went to look at their profile - no topics - no posts!!

However, upon looking a bit further, I found that the tabs for 'view topics' and 'view posts' are not working, you actually have to use the little drop down menu under their name and choose 'find members topics' (or posts) to see them. weird.

Go and see the cats on Parliament Hill. There is a feral cat colony made up of all sorts of boxes and houses on the hillside behind the Parliament buildings. Quite a number of cats live there year round and are a big visitor attraction. There is a regular caretaker who feeds them every day and people aren't allowed to get near them. They have all been neutered and vaccinated and are healthy. It is really neat to see. You should take a tour of the Parliament buildings as well - very interesting.

Oh yes, I've seen the cats. But I didn't know what they were doing there. LOL. We tried to tour Parliament during the summer, but the day we went they had already given out all of the tickets. :-( We'll try again some day. Maybe this spring.

wow.. i haven't seen this much hate in VJ OT (not talking CDN OT) since before the election..

I guess the biggest thing I have an issue with is a prevailing attitude that seems to be that you belittle and disrespect something that you KNOW means something really special or has value to someone based on your perceived notion of whether it is smart, wise, witty or reality based.

I guess it's just what we do best.. compare our intelligence, beauty, culture, belief and interests to the next guy beside us and equate their worth, and value based on ourselves and our experience (and our perception of value)..

It's really sad.. (and I'm as guilty of it as the next guy.. not trying to distance myself from it).. but it just seems to run rampant on VJ OT daily... and I really wish there was another way for us to experience and interact.

That's my one and only big thought for the day..

Spirit.. I'll have you know you are influencing me.. :jest:

Yes, you remember him. Here is the link to most of his previous posts - not all because I know there is at least one to which I responded (about moving his car and registering it in Henry County, GA which is where I live and I responded with the information!) that isn't in this list. Regardless, you can see that he has had the intention of marrying for quite some time, long before he planned this trip to Georgia - and asking about things like K-1 and IR-1 visas and how to get married in a in a Catholic Church and where to go to get a marriage license, and how to stay longer in the US than 6 months and does he need a passport and such.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
