whoa - selling the desk is total unclutter. You're living Zen sister Spirit! :star:

I sent my mom and her friend into the world yesterday without my guidance. I gave them the keys to the car, a few directions to town and said "get the f out - I need to clean my floors".

My mom met a local named Barney.

I thought she might see some fish and a sea turtle or two. Seems that Joyce did snorkeling while mom went fishing for dudes.

Thanks Cat!

That sounds great...sending your mom and friend off to explore.

Get those floors Zen-like clean. Hee, hee!

Now check out what is going on with the "dining" room table (which we have not been able to eat on this week).

I'm deep into it.

Creating cards with flowers and leaves I pick up on my travels and doing calligraphy on beautiful paper I stick inside them.

I may make about 6 more...I love it!

I also love to make paper, and have not done that in years...and book-binding, too.

Creating my own styles, and ideas...mmmm.

Here are some pics...table, inks, nibs, glitter glue, et al:

Those white sheets (foolscap, hahaha) are my practice papers.

What's super cool is these papers have a different shade of colour on the inside, and that makes them so great!

I love doing this shutff!

They need a little more work on some of those....

And everyone here loves you for being such a free spirit, don't change a thing (except maybe your underwear and socks  ). (L) I haven't seen that craftwork in a very long time, Mumsie was into that but she hasn't done that in at least two decades. Thanks for sharing.

I find it lovingly amusing that many of your moms here and I would be best friends if we lived anywhere near eachother.

Yippee to more family!

I'm all for it.

You would just "use" us of or cable TV!!! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Good plan *Len*!

This just in...well for me because I had turned off the radio (which is glued to NPR):

Governor Blagoyavich (spelling?), impeached with a vote of 114 to 1.

"He was late, dramatic and defiant."

Wow.

Is Illinois making more history?!

Embarrassment...usually politicians do not get caught...well, except in Chicago politics!

Hahahaha!

I am mildly amused...
