Personally I wil never again buys a GMC/Dodge/Ford! Not that they are terrible vehicles, I just feel that Honda/Toyota are superior and I'm willing to pay a bit more for that, But thats just my opinion and it really worthless, lol My parents have owned dodge for yrs and never had a problem

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Yeah, everyone has their own person preferences for car makers, it's pretty interesting really. We currently own a Ford and I really like it.

I think of GMC dodge and Ford--Ford has made the most progress in terms of reliability and comfort

I agree that Japanese/European cars are the best, in my opinion and would never buy an American made car again. But I did see a bumper sticker the other day that said: "Out of a job yet? Keep buying foreign"

Lot of Toyotys and honda are made in the USA/Canada!! So thats not entirely true! GMC/Ford/Dodge were paying their workers a lot more $$$$ than honda and toyota. I read that added round $2500 per vehicle! And if they made a good vehicle in the first place, wouldnt have this problem! We have a 98 Camry that was my wifes car when we arrived and it still drives as new and we just do basic maintenance to it! never had 1 problem with it!

No, it doesn't take away from my excitement at all - because I don't find it exciting

I'm not really a 'car person' - I like a reliable vehicle - that's about it. Although I do get attached to vehicles - and i'm quite sad selling the ford

I currently own a GM...I can't say I want to ever buy an American car again!!! It definitely will not be a Ford either....I can't get what my dad says about Ford out of my head, plus he said I could never park it on his driveway if I bought one!

The quality of cars these days are not a reflection on how one nations workers are versus another. A vast majority of cars in this country are actually made here, regardless of their parent company's nationality. It is however a statement about the companies management structure, engineering, and manufacturing process.

I love my Audi, but I'd love a Subaru WRX, Nissan Skyline, or a 1968 Chevy Chevelle just as much. :)
